I have mate, and I've looked again since reading your initial post.
These things happen in a split second. If we could time the point where his head turns and recognises Arbeloa, to the point where he makes contact, I bet you're talking about less than 1/2 a second. Reaction time is about 1/3 of a second, so any chance of him registering that he needs to pull his leg out just wouldn't have happened.
anyway, that's my opinion of it and i feel it's a yellow card. I'll end it there, as our opinions are very different![]()

Yet there was enough reaction time to continue to extend his leg...an un-natural movement in what he was intending to do. He was bringing the ball down yes?, extending your foot is not preparing to cushion the ball down is it.
As for split second, my first reaction in real time was 'he could be off here', and since, in real time and even more in slo-mo, I can't tell you why, I just saw that little kick-out straight away.
