This is probably the best bet I have seen for a while. The handicapper rarely gets things wrong but on this occasion I think Nubar Boy (6:30) at a mark of 66 is very generous. I personally think after the win against April Fool should be over 70 so has a fantastic chance to win and definitely should place. The rest of the field looks weak except for Dancing Welcome but his turf record doesn't compare to his AW performances.

I played a bit of a chicken by backing to place only and also to win on betfair as there were some crazy prices going for it about evens money to be placed which is like buying money and 9/2 to win.

So this is my NAP for the day and back 5pts win if you get anything above 2/1 which I think is value but I expect it to open about 5/2 or more.

If you have a betfair account the prices are close to evens (2.0) then back 10pts place only instead. Anything above 1.7 is like buying money then have a 10pts place only bet instead.

At the time of posting there are some prices @ 1.93

See if we laid your selections we would be in trouble. :)

First selection was 5pts or 10pts so split in middle to be fair.

11.5pts staked
0pts returned (bad bad day although unlucky with Nubar Boy, terrible start, terrible trouble in running)
After day 8: +8.15
