I didnt think he was great tbh.
He was better in the final quarter of the game and the 2nd goal gave him confidence and he tried very hard all game. No doubting that. But he was pushed off the ball easily and barely won a tackle (bar a couple and the one for the goal).
Our midfield didnt have control at all as a unit, and him, mbia, and granero gave the ball away alot.

All about opinions mate. I thought Park had his best game for us. Looks like the majority on here agree, looking at the poll.
I thought Granero was shocking and gave the ball away a lot - which is why he had to be substituted. Mbia did pretty well and gave the ball away less than he has recently - but imo Park was excellent: harrying, covering loads of ground, denying players space and just generally making a nuisance of himself. In one word : effort.
You ought to give your mate a slap and tell him he knows nothing about football! Samba single-handedly kept Lambert quiet which in turn helped us win the match. He won everything.
As for Park, he just needs to wear longer studs.
Picking our best midfield is a nightmare and must have Harry pulling his hair out. How can a team that has Park, Mbia, Granero, Diakite, Hoilett, Taarabt, Derry, Jenas, Townsend and SWP to pick from be so poor in the middle?
Good news. Perhaps this good players turn **** when they pull the hoops on curse is lifting.
I think the major difference was Park actually looked and played like he was determined to make a positive impact. In the past he's looked disinterested and uncommitted. So, from that perspective, and from the fact that this determination led to our winning goal, I would agree with those who thought Park had a good game.
Yep seems most do agree, and thats the beauty of football. I cant see it myself. He frustrated the hell out of me tbh.
I agree he put in a good shift and tried very hard, but imo was easily pushed off the ball. As were Granero and Mbia. Park wasnt alone in that. I really do think Park is one step behind most of the time and his 'covering of ground' is more running around like a headless chicken type of thing. But as col said, its all about opinions I guess.
If he wears longer studs mate only his hair will be above the grass. Still wouldn't make much difference!
Way to stay a hater, just as the man played his game for us so far, and according to all the pundits, he had a great match, as it was that obvious that he did.
I hope he knows he had a great game and that the world thought so as well, and that he can ignore the haters who want to stay as haters and not get behind him and give him a confidence boost with our supporting voice, just as he and the team need it.
You don't always have to tackle or take opponents down and rob them of balance to keep them at bay - and keep them at bay Park did, with his harrying and hassling, pushing them to turn around and pass around their back line instead of finding the space to move it up field. You really should watch the match again - Park really didn't lose that many balls as you think, it was Granero in the first half that had the ball careen off his shins at least 3 times.
I think some of the comments on here only go to show that some fans find it very hard to forget how badly a player has played in the past and then, when he does put in a better performance, they still can't see it. I know, because I struggled to admit that Bosingwa had played well..........but he did.

TBH..........he wouldn't be in my 1st 11 either, but credit where it's due and if he starts or comes on I hope he is received well. Booing can't help anything.
