Good man Stick. Had a lazy day so just threw my days betting bank on that. No other jockey in that race would have gotten him home. Niko De Boinville is a legend.

Good call on that stick and a great early price. The jockey won that for you, but not the one riding yours, the one riding the second. He gave that a comical ride, he did not know whether to look between his legs or twirl his whip but seemed oblivious to what really needed doing. It appeared from two out it would have been harder for him to lose that race than win it but he managed it. Your Jockey however is a class act in those events, I feel part of the job in those races for connections is to get the right jockey and those of the second have only themselves to blame.

I can give you 100% assurance that Stick would not have backed Barton Gift if De Boinville or one of the other top amateur jockeys were not on board. Its vital in those races.

Finished a good 3rd that day and runs of the same mark today in the 3.40 Southwell. Has drifted out to 20/1 which has gotten much too big and although Mr Robinson could be very hard to beat he's worth a small bet.

I agree totally ROTO, that's the job in those races to get the right jockey booked and credit to thye Spearing team for doing just that as they have a winner for their trouble. With the pro's we all have our favourites and there is certainly margin between the pro's but these amateur races there is a gulf between them.

I believe I put in my write up that the jockey was a big factor in my selection criteria.

I am going for a small bet on one in the next at Kempton, a little fearful of the draw but the horse is in really good form and still on a workable mark I feel.

It's Champ actually. I'm not your boss Boris otherwise I'd have ordered you to stop betting after Sunday's debacle.

    A champion can only advise.

Run a cracking race under top weight (Riddlestown) - ew at 20's adds a little bit to the Chelt funds <ok>

If you want to see how to ride a front runner watch Paul Maloney's performance on Di Kaprio there. Brilliant.
