Funny you should say that, but I went to my very first football match (late starter - aged 10) at the Stadium of Light for an England friendly!

I once went with son to look at some flats in Leytonstone when he was working down there and to pass the time on the train I bought the Times which had just become a tabloid sized newspaper. Walking through streets I rolled the neswpaper up. It was quite funny seeing the look on peoples faces. They must thought I had an iron bar inside.

Ever since London (not Britain) was awarded the games and I see that smarmy arsehole Coe (Lord of Slime) and his arse licking sycophants on the TV I hit the mute button. Like Cest I hope we win eff all and the whole bunch of slimy bastards are made to look absolute twats. All that lottery and taxpayers money wasted, and for what? to put money in their pockets and to be spent in the arse hole of the Commonwealth (London). The rest of us will see zilch!!

No, cricket, they'd have been frightened of the Times - they don't see that in East London!!

My source (2012 Olympics official website) tells me that you have no idea what you are getting, because the organisers have not announced who is getting what yet. See the extract below.......

The ticket application process, what's next?
London 2012 will use an automated random selection process ('ballot') to ensure the fairest possible distribution and allocation of tickets on a session-by-session basis. If you are successful, payment will be taken between 10 May 2011 and 10 June 2011. Please ensure you have sufficient funds available between these dates. A notification will be sent to confirm which tickets you have been allocated by 24 June 2011.

In other words, you won't find out what you've got for up to two weeks after the payment period has ended on the 10th June. ;)

So you've paid £1600 for tickets for what could be the Archery, Sailing and Synchronised Swimming.........well hopefully!
