I thought Rangers were found guilty today by Lord Nimmo, all that was missing
Was that Nimmo didn't understand signing players that Rangers couldn't afford
the players wages and the Rangers share of tax and N I contributions, was giving
Rangers an advantage over other clubs who paid all. Rangers were found guilty
today of having players playing that were illegally registered
. The Rangers are dead thank God. Can we ask for more.

They're taking the piss, aren't they?

If not, it's a new level of stupidity on their part.

There's more chance of me and you having a foursome with Pamela and Christopher than the fine being paid :(

Well, it's been a laff. Timmy's desperate neediness has been highly entertaining.

And with that I wish you all good day. See ye's the morra.

NS. Acknowledges that they should have disclosed the undeclared payments, but all the Ts were crossed and the Is dotted so the registrations stand, furthermore, there were no rules to revoke the registrations......but why would the authorities revoke them when they were not aware of the extra undisclosed payments????? He says basically that tHey gained no advantage......who the feck is he kidding? They fielded players they could not afford without the EBTs.

NS did not deal with the concept that the players were incorrectly registered in the first place. He more or less says once they are registered that is it?

The Scottish Justice System...........aye right. Wait till HMRC Get the BTC out of the Scottish system to the Supreme Court, they will win it hands down, so much so that Barclays Bank are advising clients who had the EBTs to negotiate a settlement for between 40 and 60% with HMRC.

Did we really expect anything else?

So they have been found guilty but the punishment is only a fine, that they don't have too pay. Tainted titles anyone?

... and there is apparently nothing in the SPL's rules to allow retrospective revocation either. Typically, it would seem that one could drive the proverbial coach and horses through the SPL rules so undoubtedly they will be reviewing them and hopefully with competent legal advice. Nimmo and his colleagues obviously saw the major loopholes, as should anyone with any understanding or experience of legislation, so presumably they felt they had no alternative but to go strictly with the letter rather than the spirit which is always open to challenge on interpretation.

I suppose we shouldn't really begrudge the Sevco fans grasping at any straw to gain comfort from this - after all, the club they previously supported is no more and they find themselves supporting a new club which plays in the 3rd Division. How devastating that must be for them, we can only imagine.

An administration error that lasted for nearly 11 years , but a poor Edinburgh club kicked out the Scottish youth cup for ticking the wrong box on a 15 year old age , only in Scotland !!!

If they can afford to do so, this club should maybe issue a legal challenge - if the SPL rules are anything to go by, they shouldn't have much difficulty in overturning this decision.

These same dumbasses were ****ing livid at the ****ey SFA procedures in letting Craigy White in the door yet are now apparently delighted at the poor controls the SPL have. I actually agreed with them the first time.

This ain't gonna bring their club back.

Many predicted this fudge. I didn't. I would have thought the consequences of deliberately withholding required information would be pretty straightforward. Evidently not. It is far from a victory for Rangers. I genuinely don't know why Sevco fans are celebrating. Even accepting their delusion over the same club ****e which was laid out bare today and they are totally ignoring (even citing NS as supporting that lie<doh>). The result paints them in a very very bad light....... And they feel vindicated.

#c4news. The key pt is that the Rangers payments were part of massive tax avoidance scheme set up to gain RFC advantage....

#c4news the basic point William Nimmo-Smith's report seems to neglect.

2 short tweets by Timmy Thomson sums it pretty well up.

It draws a line

Celtic now have nothing to link them to Rangers anymore

How do Sevco stay in the papers now?

Who cares
