Seriously I mean it, I have no idea why he wasted his time in football management, this man makes Ken Lang look like a novice.

    - Starts off at Valladolid with 2 wins from 23 getting them relegated in the process. Yes his FIRST job

    - Then drops down a division with Osasuna and gets sacked after 1 win from 9.

    - Moves onto Extremedurra and gets them promoted and RELEGATED.

    - Somehow gets a job at Valencia and by luck it just so happened to be at the time Barcelona had that idiot Gaspart as president who was running them into the ground flogging off their best players to rivals and while Real had a string of inept managers (even worse than Benitez) to oversee their Galacticos. Lets not forget Valencia reached a CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINAL and lost on penalties and only won the UEFA Cup due to getting a virtual bye to the semi final.

    - Liverpool are then stupid enough to give him a job, he jumps ship just in time as Barca begin their resurgence and Real get their act together and appoint an adequate manager and wins the CL despite drawing both the semi final and final and not even scoring a goal in the former, that them gives him 5 years to screw them into the ground with a player turnover of around 68 players.

    - Desperate for work, Inter foolishly give him a job, from treble winners to Serie A also rans within months. Inter had the foresight to see he was useless and binned him before Christmas.

    - He then gets his mate Emanelo to foolishly trick the owner and board to appoint him at European Champions Chelsea with a squad containing 2 World Cup Winners as well as the Brazilian number 10 and Europe's most coveted players and turn them into pub players overnight shifting them on positions they can't even play in.

    - He'll now get the chop at Chelsea and still walk into another job.

Rafael Benitez, I commend you, best Fraudster ever <applause>

The clever bit is he's accepted it now, and by saying this it hopefully will enable the fans to get behind the team a bit more and not focus on him.

And the FSW is now seeking pity in his PR campaign for his next job, manipulating the press and they are falling for it. "I am great but was never given a chance"

Extremely one sided view District and expected better:

Benitez was a quantified succes in Spain.
Benitez was a quantified succes at Liverpool - Forget how well they performed in CL under him, on which other occaision during the PL era have they been so close?
Inter - Well he was there for 4 months, not really a period to be judged upon, especially as they were in the throes of breaking up the Treble winning side as soon as he got there.
Yous lot - Well he got rid of Mikkel until City which you all have been crying out for. Played Luiz in his rightful midfield position.RDM did not have you playing well, yes he won 2 trophies but you weren't playing well. He was the wrong man for Chelsea but it wasn't him that gave himself the job.

You guys have got to realise one thing - You need stop playing Ramires who has no skill, get Mikkel off your books - crap, play the boy Azpicuelta all the time, Cahill and Ivanovic as your centre backs - Get rid of Bertrand, overated and not going to make it ala Mancienne.

And your biggest issue - Get rid of Torres and Ba, Torres, because his head has completely gone and Ba because he has no skill.

All in all with all the great young players you have on loan you're next manager has to be a forward thinking man. Be careful what you wish for - Mourinho will be an unmitigated disaster playing all those that will call him Daddy ala Essien, Mikkel, Terry, Malouda. He is not forward thinking and that's what you need. Benitez was never going to be that man but he's here and you'd better get behind this team because you certainly don't want to miss out on CL.

So all in all - Benitez was never right for you - No doubt
But to insinuate he's ****, Spanish, overweight etc. leaves you all with no credit at all.

Oh and by the way - This is from a guy who told you and Liverpool on the old 606 to take a right old punt on Laudrup!

What's Benitez actually won in the last 6 years though?

He can't keep living off a couple of lucky penalty shoot out victories for Liverpool and trophies he won in spain 10 years ago.

Then we were equally unlucky to lose the final in Moscow v United.

I make it that it evens out nicely then!!

Benitez won 2 trophies at Liverpool, both due to moments of brilliance from Gerard and penalties. I.e stuff laregly outside his control. Even the 2007 final they reached was on pens in the semi final.

The players deserve no blame at all, it's all Rafas fault <ok>

The players we have have been a disgrace for a while now and not just under Rafa, they were poor last year as well.
