Arsenal close to making a loss. Profit = £17.8 M Sale of van Persie = £24 M. Without the sale loss = £6.2 M This season there's no RvP to sell so is it going to be a loss or will the sale of Jach Wheelchair or Theo Walnut or both balance the books?
Could you imagine the havoc he'd cause giving it large in the Manchester clubs? Carnage. He's no Rodney Marsh.
Rafa bashes players, players bash Rafa: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...t-Chelsea-players-Manchester-City-defeat.html It's the Fail, so it's probably made up, but it wouldn't surprise anyone if it were true, would it?
The trap that Whinger has fallen into - and it is such an easy one to fall into - is believing that, just because it is mathematically possible for Arsenal to finish 2nd, it's going to happen. Better that he concentrate on keeping the likes of Everton and WBA at bay and holding onto 5th, than engaging in fantasy football. Last season, he had RVP to score all the important goals for him and sneak a top 4 spot; this season he has Walnut and a dodgy back-four.
I'm waiting to see how City's away form goes after the mauling by Saints. They play Villa next and it will be a benchmark match. If they don't win it then second is up for grabs,I think although it pains me to post it that I see Wenger's point.
Probably not!, the Guardian and Telegraph have run it http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2013/feb/26/rafael-benitez-chelsea-criticises-players and its all over SSN this morning, the guest journo Custis (wanted it to be Martin Samuel after last night! ) said that one un-named player piped up after afa's rant to say, 'this team won the CL' followed by a 'passionate' reposte from who else...John 'can I shag yer missus and insult yer ethnic relatives' Terry. love it!
Imagine if they fell apart, finishing 5th, and we went on to win the Europey too? After the abuse we got last year, revenge would be sweet.
I do feel for Benitez, he gathers everyone around trying to address CURRENT issues of their underachievement this season, and all he gets is oafs like John Terry banging on about past successes. And it's not only past-successes, it's things like the Champions League which they had no right to win in the first place, they got played off the park in every match and were no better then than they are now .
Chelsea overachieved last season but underachieved this season. We should be 2nd/3rd but could end up 5th. The CL win masked over the real problems, we have been poor in the league for quite some time now, since the Double winning seaman actually. We should still get 3rd, but with Spurs going strong and Arsenal hot on our tails it won't be easy.
