Haha, I thought you were just being a bit presumptuous. Yeah good win for City, not back to their best but there was more than an echo of their Premier League winning form of last season. Chelsea's performance would've been enough to see off a few teams, to be honest but it was the total lack of ambition against another top side that will hurt their fans the most.
Or go even shorter. please log in to view this image That pics from the last time he had a good game, allegedly.
This result will make it W7 D6 L6 from last 19 PL games for Chelsea. Mid table form for the last 70% of the season.
Mancini has screwed up their title challenge, and Rafa is screwing up chelseas season. Theres a lot of screwing up, happening, which gives us a chance.
On a positive note, when we hear from some sources how tough our next few games are, suggesting that we will not be in the mix come the end of the season, here are our last four of twelve games: Wigan v Tottenham Sat 27 Apr 15:00 Tottenham v Southampton Sat 4 May 15:00 Stoke v Tottenham Sun 12 May 15:00 Tottenham v Sunderland Sun 19 May 16:00 We also have a home game against Fulham and Swansea away. Nothing guaranteed by any means, but if we manage to break even over the next 3/4 weeks I back us to finish in the places come approx 1800hrs on Sunday 19th May.
Wembley is a bigger pitch, suits Swansea more, Bradford got to Wembley because of the tight pitch and being able to exploit opponents weaknesses + incredible at pen shoot outs. Swansea should stop at 5 I feel, good sportsmanship.
For those who like a few statistics I have looked at the games we have played this year compared to the same teams last year (replacing the top demoted team with the top promoted etc) and we are 3 points better off than last year - if we now matched last years results we would end on 72 points which last year would have given us 3rd place. Against that on the pure number of games played we have only 48 points compared to 53 last year after 26 games - but we then lost the next two and drew the two after that getting 2 points from 12 - anything better than that in hte next four games and we close that gap All I draw from all of that is we are now in a very similar position to last year so 3rd place is very much there to play for. At the start of the season I would have been very happy with that as I thought it might take AVB longer to settle
Bradford are like a lower division Stoke. They set up to defend and threaten aerially and on set-pieces. If you go ahead against them, then they're in trouble. As DL points out, they were always going to struggle in the wide open spaces of Wembley against a good footballing side.
Thanks 61, I always find the "we're worse off than we were at the same point last year" argument a bit pointless, as the teams played is not the same. Yours is a much more useful comparison to make... and it also makes for good reading
Let's get a 0-2 tomorow, third's ours for the time being and we watch AVB break new ground in the PL. 6 points from the next two would be brill. Arsenal were not convincing in their 2-1 over relegation candidates and a bit later if Norwich can dick Everton then so can we.
Well last year we won at Wham, we beat the goons at home and drew at Anfield so we have a bit to live up to this year
