as much as I hate Suarez, never in 100 years Persie or Bale could pull something like this..

    manobear is having a laugh..

Man Utd in the same sentence as Real & Barca - only used when manure is beaten by those two teams..

  4. There was a great deal of luck involved with that Goofy goal. Bale, on the other hand, does not need to rely on luck.

Also, how many times have we seen Goofy pull off those kind of moves? Very rarely. Bale does it week in and week out.

That's why Bale is considered by any reasonably-minded pundit of being in a completely different class.

Not sure how I'm having a laugh? Would you have Mata playing deep playing next to Mikel or Ramires in the midfield with a lot of defensive responsibility? No, because that's not what he's good at, you'd push Garth forward as an AM where he can work his magic. Is he better than Clevery, of course he his, but they don't play the same position. He wouldn't displace Rooney. He may be more talented than Rooney, but Rooney is arguably the most important player on our team.

Regarding having Man Utd Barca and Real Madrid in the same sentence, I think you'll find there's multiple scenarios when they'll be used in the same sentence. Many of them involve being either the biggest clubs, most valuable clubs, and most successful clubs.

I was talking about over a whole game and I'd also argue that Wes Brown, Smalling and Rafael are not a top quality defence, especially in 2011. It's not really even an argument really and if you have to pull up a clip from 2 years ago then you should realise the truth in what I was saying.

Suarez comes out with moments of pure class but moments is all they are, Bale's similar I guess. Suarez could've had 4 or 5 against Zenit but he didn't and you went on to lose and it's not the first time Suarez has not done his job in an important game for Liverpool this season, is it?

Van Persie definitely can turn defenders inside out but even if he couldn't, so what? It might be brilliant to watch but you don't get more for skinning a player than anyother goal. Van Persie regularly scores goals, easy and difficult, important or not and against any quality of opposition. Suarez doesn't, this is the first season he's scored a lot in the Premier League but the extra goals are coming against poor defences where there's been lots of goals.

I've never said Bale is World Class either but his ability to trun players with excellent close control isn't that important. Bale's moments of brilliance come from his strength, pace and more recently his freekicks. There are plenty of things Bale can do that Suarez either can't do or can't do as well.

Rooney is a 2nd striker, Mata and attacking midfielder. They have completely different roles.

Luck? Absolute bollocks. That run is class, you don't get past 3 Man Utd defenders with luck ffs.

I hate Suarez as much as anybody but that run and assist is as good as any i've seen.

Of course they do, but in a 4231, they would line up in the same position. When we play a 4231 it's almost more of a 4-4-1-1. When you play a 4231 it stays a 4-2-3-1. It's a different role, but they'd occupy the same position.

I can't believe people are arguing over all these players. Appreciate the different talents they possess, don't just hammer the players that don't play for your club. It doesn't matter how good your star player is if you don't finish strongly as a team.

    Exactly.

I feel Bale is too selfish a player, in the last game I watched him in he went for goals when he should have been passing to a team mate on a couple of occasions for easy shots on goal. His selfishness in wanting all the limelight caused them a couple of goals IMO
