Hello lads. Really dire racing today so another no bet day for me. I'm slowly recovering from a two day/night bender in the 2013 UK City Of Culture..great fun. Good luck with your bets guys. Great shout George in the opener.
Gutted Stick as I was on the horse, It's so annoying seeing Jockeys out think themselves. The horse had lots in the tank and had the beating if he would have sent it on from the second last, he instead thinks he will try and do it cosily and leaves no room for error at the final fence, and so of course when that error happens to come he ends up having got the horse beat. A good jockey but in this case he cost the race for no reason at all.
D O'R is a class jockey but is becoming rather one dimensional with these hold up "Hollywood" rides...almost compulsory with Irish jocks..Murphy,Carberry,Ruby et al.
He got that horse beat beat showboating there Dex. Fair play George you collected but if you think the best horse won that race then I will have a pint of whatever you are on!
Agree Stick. Dunno what George is on but I'm on my second bottle Whitewater Brewery Belfast Lager!!!..starting to feel human again..
Unlucky...Those PTP fences mustn't take much jumping! Speaking of soft fences I don't think Well Refreshed would have gotten away with his mistake at the last yesterday if the old Haydock 'chase course was in operation. Awful decision to make that wonderful 'chase course redundant.
Don't know what I'm on but that's a (questionable) winner and a 25/1 in second so I should keep drinking.
LOL stick don't want to know what that pays. In fact I don't even want to know what the ****ing forecast pays, I should have been on it really. Seriously though Novice hurdles are my fav type of race, flat or nh, to punt on.
I think Whisper is going to the very top, he travelled the best on Trials day imho which was a hell of an effort for first time in top class company. Don't think he liked the ground that day, went out like a light if I recall correctly. I remember thinking as they came round the final bend that he looked the winner.
