Hi lads, You seem like a typical Championship side really and I'm you'll finish midtable which is probably what you expected before the season started. As most do at the KC, you set-up really quite defensively and got absolutely hammered for the first 12 minutes and we should've been 1 or 2 ahead. For the next 12 though you got back into it and we forgot how to pass but then after half an hour we scored the goal. It was fairly jammy, corner came in, Hamer thought he could get there but didn't and Gedo's 'poaching instinct' ended up being what separated the sides. By 85 minutes you threw everything at it and we had 3/4 counters where we should really have grabbed another. Unlucky today and hopefully you do a job on Leicester, no doubt Kermorgant will get on the score-sheet.
Seems pretty fair assessment and before season started I'd of been more than happy with Midtable finish still would
Same here, Mike. Thanks for the report, rosenior - looks like Steve Bruce's trip down the Nile (figuratively speaking) could be one of the transfer coups of the season.
No width, drive or passion and more to the point Kish,no WAGGY!!!!!!.......GMR is not happy!...and not to mention no points!
Just seen the abbreviated highlights. What exactly was Hamer doing at that corner? I wrote on here early last season that I thought his flapping on crosses and his tendency to get boxed in at corners would cost us games. It's a measure of how much he's progressed to address the problem that this was the first game I'd identify when this was the case. He still scares the life out of me a couple of times a game, but not all game like he used to. At the other end of the field, five shots all game, two on target (if you believe the BBC stats) needs addressing urgently. I said before the game that Stephens + Mud = No Service but what were the rest of them doing?
Just watched it- Hamer completely missed the ball under no pressure at all. Thank goodness we've got Andy Hughes back now, that's all I can say.
Proper physical, nitty-gritty match. All I can say from after the match is; We still can't score proper chances, Ricardo Fuller is a diving twat (hurt himself in doing so), Charlton look sorted to be an established Championship side now and good luck for the rest of the Season.
Hamer is having one of his spells. He was fantastic a month or 2 ago, but has cost us too many points recently. I don't anticipate button being given a chance though.
