If its true about banning away fans from both games against Wet Sham next season then there's absolutely no reason not to fill the North stand out with our fans like we did on the last day of the 2000/1 season when we beat Oldham 5-0 to lift the old 2nd Division title! Will it happen though as it would be nice to have a proper sell out for once rather than the away end being totally empty - I'm considering emailing the club to ask them although it could be months away yet depending on the new fixture list.
I remember the same thing being done for the visit of Pompey a few years ago. It was home fans only so they opened the North Stand and put it as kids/women for a quid. we lost the game 5-0m, Tim Sherwood and Wisey had a bit of handbags by the east Stand and Paul Merson got a standing ovation from all 4 stands after a fantastic display. we lost 5-0.
I wouldn't want to be a Wet Sham player with 15-20000 people hurling abuse. Actually, that'll happen to our players there so I wouldn't want to be in their boots either.
I remember the last goal from Steven Reid when he smashed in the 5th from the right hand side of the CBL end - what a strike! The game at our place will definitely be all ticket only!
Imagine the noise with wall to wall Wall fans making it like the Udders 2nd leg again with what's left of the hamsters team not being able to pass to the wings with not being able to hear each other - ****ing love it...... Can't wait.....
