Dear Millwall fans... We Hull fans have taken the decision to disown Charlie. Feel free to keep him.

Not sure how old you boys on here are ... but I'm getting on a bit and remember THAT Luton game very well - largely because you had beaten us at the old den in the previous round 2-0 in a game played in midweek because the Saturday was postponed - I was in my early twenties and travelled down on the train from Leicester - fair to say you gave us a 'warm welcome' and an even warmer 'send-off' having first invaded the pitch and carried off your victorious players - so the trouble at Luton was no surprise to any of us who had travelled except for the sheer scale .. but what often gets missed is that your football club begged the FA/Luton to make the Luton game all-ticket but the greedy ******* wouldn't.

Now I went back a few years later, again in the FA Cup, when we contrived to turn a 1-0 lead at 90 minutes to a 2-1 loss still in normal time and it's fair to say that things were a lot quieter and we'd travelled from St Pancras across the tbe network with nothing more than a lot of banter with several different sets of fans.

Now the point I'm trying to make - rather long windedly admittedly - is that, apart from the occasional, rather sporadic, pre-arranged spats between largely pre-pubescents dressed in their Sunday finest (there are a few exceptions I'll concede) times have changed dramatically and any genuine football fan just wanting to go to a game to watch the footie has more to fear from dodgy burgers than from hooliganism ...

Finally, I am considering becoming Charlie's agent as I think that currently there is a gap in the market for his unique brand of comedy ...

PS - are there any odds out yet for the next Soppy Bollocks awards?

I think it's bad that a club has to go through this time and time again. It seems that just as one thing is put to bed, another reawakens. I'm sure the majority of Millwall fans are just like ours, but are let down by a very small minority. I'll hold my hands up and say that whenever I hear Millwall are coming to town, I do get a little nervous for the safety of the little lad I go with, but certainly not as much as I used to.

I hope that the people found are banned from your club and made an example of, so that the rest of your fans can enjoy the football without the stigma of racism or violence. If it were Hull City, I'd want immediate action taken and have them strung up from the KC rafters, entrails hanging out. Now that would create an atmosphere.....

Every club has the share of idiots. Things get highlighted more with Millwall because of their past but they havent been as bad in recent years as they have been. Millwall Football club has worked very hard to change its image and slowly things are changing
