The prices are all relative to the time but in recent years ticket prices have rocketed above inflation! <yikes> £35 for a casual purchase to watch a game at Portman Road! <steam> They are having a ****ing laugh!
 
The price of the programme as you can see was 7p a massive hike in price as the previous year it was 5p !

35 pence admission was 5 times the price of the programme. I don't know what this year's programme price is, as I never buy one these days but I'll take a guess at £3.50p. Therefore if prices were still relative today we should be paying £17.50p for a casual ticket to watch a Premier league game !

In those days the players were being paid 'Sensible' wages and the home gates would more than cover the wage bill. These days I hate to think as % how much of the total gate money is paid to the players each week? <yikes>
 
I think Ipswich's is around the 450% mark

Oh and add another 45% for Chopras gambling to be paid off

Quite right JWM A barmy summers evening. We had just been held 1-1 by Everton. We went 1-0 up with a goal by the massively underrated Terry Anderson, Bryan Hamilton (spits, ****s, pukes at this point) equalised and Jimmy Bone scored the winner. If I'm not mistaken it was Kevin Beattie's debut. Back on the train singing out heads off and into the pub on the bridge by the station as soon as we got off.

It was Beattie's home debut <ok>

Little did we know after that barmy summers evening we would go onto finish 4th and qualify for Europe and you would end up being relegated.

We bounced straight back in 1974-75 along with Manure which, co-incidently, was the first season of three up and three down thank goodness ! <ok>
