So in your little corner of Utopia the fans of England voted wrongly, but if you don't vote your voice will never be heard PNP.

Like most football fans, I have no interest in the award. I didn't even realise that Parker had won it last season, until I just checked it's history.
That Jordan Henderson won the U21s clearly shows that some Liverpool fans have too much time on their hands too, doesn't it?

Most fans who follow their nation are clearly aware of it(Spurs fans included)and voted fairly and squarely for Gerrard.

Hardly. 190k voted and I can guarantee that ITV got more viewers in England when we play.

Who cares though, eh? He's more deserving of it than Welbeck, at least :)

Wow - to win award that only 190k voted in for the best ENGLAND player of last year!! With the nation having such a stellar year of success on the field he must be so proud!! <doh>

England haven't had 'a stellar year of success' since 1966 mate but that hasn't stopped England players since then winning awards.<doh>

If you don't rate Gerrard fine, but if its all about 'stellar years' there's a few knighthoods and many gongs that need handing back.

Couldn't agree more - it's the whole concept of that shower of international **** getting awards for turning up is what I find annoying. Doesn't matter if it is Gerrard or anyone else.
The day that an England team actually performs again at a major tournament will be the time for back-patting. The last time was arguably Euro 96 or WC 1998 when we actually performed at a reasonable level.

I meant to post this yesterday, but I just surfed the radio in the car and got TalkShite. Honest I wasn't listening to it, particularly just before 6pm when WUM-in-Chief Durham is on, but he said (or at least I think he said because I still can't quite believe it) that if Pool hang onto Suarez then they are 'nailed on' for the top four next season.

Apart from the fact you can't take anything that clown says seriously as he'll say anything for a wind up, I never fail to be astonished to the amount of time TalkShite (among others) talk about Pools prospects for recovering what they seem to think is their god given right to a top four finish. Personally I have a lot less against the club itself than many who post on here, but I just can't abide this media bias toward them.

<laugh>

Durham is the same numpty who said we were a one-man team, just before Bale got injured and we still didn't lose a game.

His comments stand as an absolute testament to the fact that the English media is so 'Pool-biased as to be completely and utterly laughable. Even they must know they are twats.
