Ours yesterday was lovely. Chicken salad for tea tonight, not enough veg left for another full hit. Got a good litre of chicken stock out of aswell.
I feel the same, had a late one Saturday and a fair few watching the match, then some twat wound me up on the banter thread.
That was an obvious joke though Gonz. I thought so anyway. Which just goes to show how the typed word can be taken in the wrong way!
I was surprised you were the one to bite.. I expected a few others too though.. Thoroughly disappointing really.
Cous cous is ****.. dont see the point in it at all.. I've never cooked with lentils, wouldnt know where to start either. I need some new things to cook.. I'm bored of my repertoire at the moment. Though I have learned how to make this : Thai Laab
I like lentils, healthy, tasty and filling. They go well in stews and soups and those puy ones I used last week in the casserole go well in Indian food. Otherwise red or green are just the ticket. Cous cous isn't my favourite stuff either, although she does do this 'jewelled' cous cous which is nice as part of a salad. I wouldn't ever buy out or order out though, it's only ever been **** when shop bought. It's the stock that makes it, otherwise it just tastes of **** all. You don't like spicy food do you? Got a couple of standard Thai/Indian dishes that are worth doing but sure you've said you wouldn't fancy them.
Not a big fan of curries.. The Mrs makes (apparently) a good Thai curry she made it for me.. I didnt like it... was just runny green **** with bits of chicken. I enjoyed the sticky rice though. I've still got a Haggis in the fridge which i need to use. I just need some tasty weekly meals.. easy to make. May try a fish pie.
I like a fish pie. Been a long time since I did one as my girlfriend tends to make one every Friday so I've been elbowed out there. They're ok most of the time though so I can't complain, although she users leeks when it should be spinach and often forgets the boiled eggs! Give a canelloni a go or something, always nice to mix things up a bit.
The same thing will happen when i try an make bolognese it just turns into a chilli.. I'm thinking maybe a shepherds pie but with parsnip and celeriac mash instead of potato. A mate of mine makes lasagne using lamb mince he reckons its amazing..
Should anyone need not to eat just watch this video.. should put you off food for a while... bloody funny though http://www.pornhub.com/view_video.php?viewkey=1942471535
Yeah, don't think I'll bother with that at work! How about a lamb based regional dish? A Lancashire hot pot, which is always nice. Or a Welsh cawl, which is good too.
