Every home game this season, including MK Dons, all other teams are far superior at passing, moving and keeping the ball at a good pace. Our players are uncomfortable on the ball and rarely string together more than 4 or 5 passes before we hoof it or get broken down. The introduction of Jenas yesterday looks like we have finally got a player that is truly comfortable on the ball. I wasn't overly excited by him joining but you could see yesterday he is a very good player and better than what we had.
I was also surprised we got him off Spurs. Hopefully he has something to prove and we can get the best out of him
I thought both Townsend and Jenas showed vision and awareness of space and movement that we have been lacking all season. Still thought our midfield was lacking in creative ideas yesterday though.
No doubting his ability, we just have to hope that he can maintain his enthusiasm for the rest of the season. I think we have to use him rather than Derry as he'll give us a better outlet from our half. He also has a mean shot when in range...
I really think Jenas will be an important part of the side even if we are in the npc next season, so it's vital that we get him into the first team asap. He's still a decent player and has more of a footballing brain than the likes of mbia and diakite.
I can't see Harry dropping M'Bia, he's very physical and Harry seems to like that in that area. Risky...
Mbia is physical, but in a clumsy way. Derry,Mbia,Hill,Mackie do not have the skill set or the confidence in there own ability to control the ball and release it quickly. Townsend and Jenas do. Derry and Mbia together does not work!
Very surprised with jenas and Townsend, wasn't expecting much from either but thought both looked very comfortable on the ball. Townsend was my MOM.
