We need to do what Reading have done and get five wins out of six to get out of the bottom three. Can this team do that is the question?
Being realistic... No. We have not scored more than two goals in the league this season. In fact we have only scored two on only three occasions. Goals win games. We can't score. And our only unproven goalscorer is out for at least a month. We are bottom of the league and can't manage to beat any of those around us. Harry has just spent a fortune and not improved our squad. We will be playing in the Championship next season.
http://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/premier-league/relegation The bookies seem to have lost faith in us. For the first time we are number one favourites for the drop. Who will leave in the summer if we go down? Remy, Adel, Samba, Cesar, Diakite, Granero, Fabio, Townsend... Next season will be a nightmare at this rate.
I dont see enough to get the goals or create enough chances. We still have about 4 or 5 very average players and although they work hard, just do not have the skill set or pace to turn things around. To be honest,I really havnt enjoyed much of the past two seasons.(apart from a few big wins)Im a bit sick of the struggle, the hopes dashed, the promises and all the talk. I just had a thought that maybe I would enjoy it more if we were in the lower league?.We have spent the last season almost relegated on the final day and have spent most of this season as the worst team in the league.Isnt this supposed to be about being entertained and enjoyment?. Yet again Ive spent another weekend unable to watch MOTD!
No for me. We haven't scored all year with a fit striker so what are the chances we'll score even more goals without one? We only solved half the problem during the transfer window and that solution is now injured. Three 0-0 draws at home is useless for a relegation fight when we need goals and all our rivals are banging them in.
Do we think that Reading, with their massive points tally (and lead over us) despite their great form, are so much better than us that it's not possible? Harry's right that two wins on the bounce put a completely different perspective on things. I prefer his way of thinking rather than this "realism" aka defeatism.
in defence we look solid. I'd fancy us to keep a clean sheet against anyone but going forward.. that's a different matter! as its been pointed out to death we just can't score. unfortunately that's gonna be the reason we go down.
Truth is, we all know we are light on in the forwards but to make matters worse .............. all our forwards keep getting injured. There in lies the problem.
Still so many points and only 2 games off and some have given up? Reading have done well of late because they have had a bit of belief and luck of late. Yet the still have ManU/Arse/Everton away and City at home which i see them getting no points from. Others around us also have some really tough games and will be dropping points. 13 games to go and 6 points off and some have given up? After the next game we have a 13 day break. This is good news for us as its time to get Samba/BZ/Remy fit. it also disrupts runs and momentum of others. Yes we are in the s#### but still loads to play for and teams like Reading won't be winning all season because they are not good enough to. Trust in Arry and keep the faith.
Thanks Ellers and Matt. People do tend to forget that other teams have tough matches and you are spot on re Reading's next few games. My head says down after yesterday but I have to keep some belief otherwise we may as well not play the last games at all! Good point re the break. Am praying that Remy fit by then too if at all possible. He is as predatorial as any I've seen at QPR. Remy, we need you mate. Big time!!
Agree with most of the doom and gloom on here. Trying to be positive, Samba has done it all before and has taken responsibility at both ends of the pitch for Blackburn. I'm not saying he is going to score our goals, but there were signs towards the end of yesterday's game that our midfield were more confident about pushing forward, urged on by samba. And scoring goals isn't all about having a predator in the box. As even the incompetent Ray Wilkins has pointed out, our biggest problem is we don't get people in the area. Sam Allardyce has been 'playing the percentages' game for years, and his team of clodhoppers are in midtable thanks to Matt Jarvis.
We still have to play Wigan, Reading, Villa and could therefore easily catch up but I cannot see that coming. Quite frankly I have never seen a weaker team than ours. Most of our players are slow, technically inapt and noone being able to score goals. I quite liked how Townsend played yesterday he seems to be some help. Even though our squad should be one of the most expensive in the PL we do look like a Champinship team. Perhaps 2 points possible the next 2 games but we are doomed to go down.
