Was a bit worried 'Arry might have signed him as backup but glad he's gone straight in and done well. He's comfortable on both sides and has a great shot on him but it's been difficult for him having Lennon and Bale infront of him but if you give him regular games I'm sure he's ready for the step up to play in the Premier League.
 
If he keeps working hard like he did today, he could easily be a big player for Tottenham in a season or two's time. He's quick, strong, driving, tall and he's got a good delivery and a great shot on him. He's a sort of young Aaron Lennon. Good prospect but I don't Tottenham allowing us to renew his loan in the summer.
 
Extremely pleased with his performance - very fit player quick and lively with his runs.
 
Looks like a very good attacking addition. Definitely more of a threat with him in the team if he continues to play like he did today.
 
I thought he was the best player and hes got some real pace!. Jenas and Zamora should have come on earlier for Mackie/Derry/Mbia. They look pants!

Was disappointed to see him not given much of a chance this season, as when Bale is injured we have zero width on the left, and this year looked to be the year that Townsend was making real progress so you have signed him on the loan at the right stage of his career.
