    Attention runners!

Anyone still out there, battling the cold, getting the miles in?

I completed 13 miles this morning! First time I've done that distance for 3 or 4 months, very pleased with myself but stiff as owt now.

Did it in about 2 hrs 15, the last 2 miles or so were very much a teeth gritted plod.

I'm hoping to listen to City on the wireless this afty, but I reckon I might end up snoring in bed instead.

Any other joggers, hit me up!

    Ouuuusssh.

I jogged all the way to the pub last night. 5 minutes round the corner and i was cream crackered.

I'm usless at running and have no stamina whatsoever.

I prefer getting on my bike and cycling. Did about 6 miles last time out (which is nowt in comparison i know).

It's a start Golaccio! Every little helps.

Use it as a springboard. Embrace the fitness!

    You can do it!

I haven't run a proper one yet, they're always in summer and I find running in the heat so difficult. I warm up fast!

I've never ran more than 13, it's about the limit for me, but if I can get to about 2hrs or under, I'd be delighted.

The Great North Run is usually in late September or early October. It's never too warm and is usually pretty cool. It's a great day out and you really feel you've achieved something when you cross the finishing line. The crowd is pretty good too along the way, they keep you going. I struggled on my last one but got through it by running with a tasty bird in really tight jogging pants and a dead fit arse.

That's the spirit! Just when you think you're flagging, along totters some skintight inspiration.

    Magic.

My mate faked a dizzy spell just to get near a fit nurse at the end.

I haven't been for a run since before christmas, but will be going out tomorrow. I shall also be signing myself up for the Leeds 10k and Manchester 10k. I've just found out that a park near me has 5k races every Saturday so gonna bob along to those.

I had a similar experience at the great north, just sat behind this lass with a great arse in lycra. But at the half way point she stopped. Lazy mare
