It seems that SB has intimated that he might dip into the emergency loan market before the trip to Brighton. It would obviously be for a striker, but I was wondering who we thought might be available on those terms? Would this only be until Aluko is back playing or for the full 93 days?
id like us to dip in to it early, even if it means them missing any potential play offs...aluko would be back then and gedo would hopefully be match fit.. its the next 5 or 6 games we need somebody up front urgently for imo..as for whos available id like us to enquire about Jerome at stoke, hes still there isnt he and doesnt get that many games , and would have thought hes behind walters, crouch, and jones in the pecking order.
You want a Premier League striker who is sat in the reserves - like Darren Bent. He might want to play for a few months.
i wonder if there is a 'gem' awaiting in Hondurus or somewhere that we are all ignoring that Bruce and his team aren't? Maybe we will rekindle that Latics touch that Bruce and his team made famous within the that empty confines of that rugby stadium in Wigan. edit: i just re-read 'that'. cant be arsed to change it but i wonder if a short paragraph can be written with more 'that's in it!
Patience John, things are in hand. Can't say too much but in those high winds we couldn't take off in Bentos' helicopter. Cars are so championship level!!
According to someone on here, we can only do business with teams in this country, so it's going to be obvious who we go for.... Billy Sharp.
Well in Chazz Rheinholds world it might happen. But in the real world Aston Villa need all the goals they can muster. He could well have been one of the bids we made. But Machester City are suggesting he is the Mario Ballatelli cover now as they are down to only 3 strikers. Poor sods. Lol. There appears to be some real back stabbing going on at Nottingham Forest. Forest fans report that Sharp is one of many who want out of there now. Even Mcleish is thinking over his position after the George Boyd fiasco. So much for sacking Sean O'Driscoll then. Dont you just love Barry Fry. Agree with his every word on Forest owners.
As for Hull City. I can see Steve Bruce taking 2 loans during February. One next week and maybe one at the end of Feb or early March just in case we need cover to the PO Final weekend. Aluko is not a striker for starters and we dont want to put all the pressure on him. He has not scored since November anyway. I wonder IF Kevin Doyle from Wolves could be a goer ? He has gone stale @ Wolves. imo.
6 months apparently, but they are desperate to get him to sign a new contract, I'd like to see us tell Wolves that we'll give them 750k for the loan, after we've agreed personal terms with him. Don't know if that would be allowed, but I'm guessing they wouldn't loan him out for free, more than likely see him leave for free than that.
We'll Probably go for some of the names being touted on deadline day : Jackson, Boyd, Doyle, SEB or Church (hopefully not)
There will be no chance SEB will be coming, Wolves want him to sign a new contract anyway, and all we'd be paying is his wages, why would they let him out? Which strikers are getting played at wet spam this season?
