Well a lot of people were calling for him to be given a run out,

bruce obliged (cos there was no one else)

anyhow he played, he had his chance and let's face it he was ****e,

so have you seen enough of him, or is he still worth keeping and to be given more time?

maybe it was lack of matches, maybe not,

maybe he is a good player but just not suited to the prem, or maybe our style of play, either way he didn't do himself any favours yesterday.

just another headless chicken amongst a team full of them..(with the odd exeption)

never panics on ball, picks out good passes, long and short, tackles. Makes Hendo look poor

He was superb and not just yesterday but in every game I've seen him play. Calm and composed, ready to stick his foot in and afraid to power forward. If we can sort out Mylers injury problems then we can have a solid backbone of academy lads in the team which is only good in the long term, with these lads in the first team it can only motivate others in the reserve/youth team to step up and take their chances as well.

Watched the game last night and the MOTD lowlights this morning, I wanted Riveros to shine and be given a chance to show he is the player we saw at the World Cup. Sadly he looked like a lost kid who didn't have a clue what to do when the ball got to him, having said that I think SB will try him again at West Ham think it could be his last game for us if he plays that way again.
Agree about Colback it seems we can produce players keeping hold of them is a different matter, star man yesterday and probably the only positive to come out of the game.

watching Steed and Bolo together made me wish they both were a few years younger and Sess is looking better every game.

How often do you hear people say football is a confidence game? How confident must Riveros be, given what's happened to him this season?

It was a toss up for me really, because they were equally as bad, but I put Mensah ahead of Riveros because of his attitude at being substituted, not on!

I read on one thread recently (called 'Angeleri returns to Argentina', I think) that Angeleri has gone back for treatment and both he and Riveros will be with SAFC next season. (I did say on that thread that I took back all I've said about Bruce with regard not giving Angeleri a chance. I didn't know the injury he aggravated in Portuguese pre-season games had crocked him).

No, Commachio, I can't take one game and then 'He's sh**e, get rid of him'. It's taken Sess a while to get up to speed, but now I think he's going to a cracker next season. I think players of Angeleri's and Riveros's class deserve at least an equal chance to that given to Sess. Next season? - who knows?
