Not trying to take the flake away from bruce, but surely even with all the injuries we should have been able to beat wolves, or at least give them more of a game.

So how about giving the players some stick rather than bruce, and off all people quinny,

    Sunderland
    22 Mignolet.........belgian int.
    02 Bardsley.........scottish int
    05 Mensah..........ghana int
    15 Onuoha..........england u-21
    07 Zenden..........ex dutch int
    08 Malbranque.....ex french u-21
    10 Henderson......england int
    16 Riveros...........paraguay int
25 Colback......... future star in the making
    27 Elmohamady....egypt int
    28 Sessegnon......benin int

Surely the team that bruce put out was more than capable of performing better than they did...

Good point mate. My problem is this, first half, and I have now watched it again on football first, we played very well. Poor defending for their first goal but some good footy.

Second half very poor, yes I hear all the but Bruce should have but do these players really need a manager to tell them to keep on playing second half, they were crap, they were on the field, they let us and Bruce down.

Haway Man whats this love fest with Bruce on this forum? 2.1 down. He decides to try the kids.
Riveros has looked Like he hasn't ever played football. Bruce takes off steed and Henderson.
How can you ever defend this?

good first half poor second sums it all up. also the players were playing in fear of getting injured. if you look at it the starting 11 were the only fit senior starting players we have. yesterday the bench was full of kids younger than 20 years old and yes they may be the future be looking at the three that came on in the second half they look no wear near strong enough physically to cope with the PL yet it doesn't matter how good they are. what would have happened if one or a couple of the senior players had have got injured and out for the last game?

Can somebody in the Bruce out can tell me what team he should have played? with the players he had avalible.

Riveros was the only other senior fit midfilder we have, Steed very very rearly last a full match and Henderson is nackered and he probably took him off incase he got injurede for the last match. What was he supposed to do. Put yourself in Bruces shoes and tell me the team you would have played and the tatics and susatutions you would have made during thr match.

For me the players are 99% of the time to blame if not, how do you explain the new manager syndrome when the exact same team play like The Dog and Duck under one man then Brazil under another. The players should be professional enough to put aside any differences they have with the management for 90 or so minutes on a match day. However the buck always stops at the manager as he has brought in the majority of the players who stab him in the back as soon as it is turned.
We do have some very good players but, as ever they cannot play as a team week in week out. They can do it on odd occasions which unfortunately is not good enough at PL level in fact not good enough for most professional football levels. I do think Bruce will be with us next season and if he fails again he will have a very difficult time in management with any other teams, as he is on borrowed time for me and anything less than an outstanding season next year could be his last.
