One thing I've noticed about the window is it can occasionally end up like a house buying chain.
No one wants to be left short of players when the music stops which is why so much business is done last day.

Mauricio Pochettino has not ruled out adding to his squad on transfer deadline day.
The new Saints boss has seen his team in action twice since taking over and had a close look at the players at his disposal on their trip to Spain.
Although it is clear that Saints are not going to be bringing in numerous new signings – to go with the one they have made, defender Vegard Forren – Pochettino refused to rule out the possibility of a player joining today.
But insisted the club hadn’t made any final decisions either way.

3. stay on topic
4. make sure any potential deals go in here so Qwerty can read them while he's in a lecture

Woke up this morning to a text from my friends mum's sisters daughters best friends uncle albert, who heard from a drunken git down the pub, claiming to have had a meal with Nicola Cortese, who said that this rumour is bollocks :)

Nah what he was trying to say was it was your bollocks that kept you ears apart.......for goodness sake nothing to do with rumours at all <laugh>

Moussa Kanate who we were linked to the other day, looks likely to be joining Swansea on loan til the end of the season

19-year-old Barnsley right back John Stones for £2m, from twitter so unlikely but I could see something like this happening

What would be the point in signing a 19 year-old right back? If that were to happen, either:
-Clyne's development in stalled as a result of him not getting much playing time
-Stones' development in stalled as a result of him not getting much playing time
-There is constant rotation of Stones and Clyne, and we have an unsettled back 4

I see little point in having more than 1 promising youngster in any given position

So what do we all want? For me I think a wide / creative player of some form. Relying on de Ridder as our super sub when we're chasing a game and needing to make an offensive change is not ideal....

Danny Butterfield to the MLS side Kansas City. Not sure how true or not this is.

Source: Saw it on SaintsWeb, so take it with a pinch of salt for now

A winger come striker with pace and something different. A Zarate type but not neccessarily him. A game changer. don't mind if it's on loan.

Becoming more nad more resigned to not getting anyone though.
