Rather grey outside, but very mild. My nice new plough is due to be delivered this afternoon. Man phoned before I was out of bed to confirm delivery and left a message on the answerphone. He spoke so fast the two of us had to listen to it half a dozen times before we worked out what he said. I had to phone him back and he was no slower, but this time I was in control and made him repeat what I thought he said. Oh the joys of a foreign language.
