If you really want to save on fuel it is easy - just drive less and when you have to drive then drive more sensibly.
With a bit of effort you can half your petrol costs and give the environment a bit of a break.
As you know St.G energy varies as a function of half of mass multiplied by velocity squared, which means by my calculation that an 80mph driver uses 31% more energy than a 70mph driver. Of course my bicycle cost £74 and it's still working, and my legs were free. Maths lesson over.
