All those who booed Graham onto the pitch and our own players off are, quite simply, thick as pig ****! No two ways about it and I was embarrassed to be wearing the same colours as them tonight. They clearly aren't proper supporters and have probably cost us a decent player and shown the club up on TV to boot. Ever heard of the phrase cutting your nose off to spire your face? I'm ashamed of their behaviour tonight. I always wanted to sit in the South stand and revel in the atmosphere. Tonight I couldn't get far enough away from the ******s. Shame on you all.
Glad he got booed and told to **** off home I've nowt against Mags playing/managing us but when sonera little Mag no mark comes out with what he said about our Club then it's what he deserves. If he does cone and sign for us which I he to **** he doesn't as he's not good enough I'll give him all my support till he leaves or ****s up against the Mags.
To be fair mate I was booing at the tv when the players came off just one of those things we all feel passionately about the club people do or say things they don't mean
Well it looks like he is coming in my eyes regardless of the reaction. The fact he gave a disabled safc supporter his shirt shows that, thats his first step of an apology. I reckon his agent or the club have told him to do such a gesture. Reckon he be signed by tomorrow.
On that performance MON needs to spend £100 m quid before thurs night, another ' don't give a toss ' performance, Colback cannot pass the ball forward for some reason, players hoofing the ball or losing it, we better get to 39 points quick. Without Sesses runs we were poor, but what is his end result?, he needs to get a shot on target now and again, and we got hemmed back again. And if Messi said " i would rather go to gateshead than SAFC he can get stuffed has well!.
I think that it reflected the way some fans feel towards a player who has openly slagged us off and now could well be joining us? Before anyone reacts, no I didnt boo as I have said 100's of times before (and under Bruce) I simply dont think it helps. However, Graham knows now he has an uphill battle to win some sections of the crowd over and if he still chooses to come then he really does deserve some credit. BTW, that was the biggest 'non attempt' at trying to score I have ever seen in my life. Open goal, 2 yards out, no-one on him and him in great form of goals and he just stood there and looked at the ball until Bramble made the challenge. That's the biggest proof he will be signing imo as he would have kissed the move goodbye if he had scored and he knew that. I reckon he will be in our squad for Reading on Saturday 100%
A fantastic effort from the fans who are prepaired to stand up and express their disgust at the potential signing of a player who has openly slagged off SAFC. If MON goes ahead and signs this player after hearing the reaction of the supporters this evening, then he isn't stubborn, he is stupid. I'm all for the MON is the messiah crack but the fella is completely out of touch if he signs Danny Graham. Unfortunately for the fans of MON, signing Danny Graham will be the beginning of the end. There maybe a few years to go, but this event will be looked back as a fundamental turning point. Nevermind eh.
MoN on Graham booing from @simonbirdmirror Simon Bird twitter O'Neill on Graham booing: "He is reportedly a Newcastle fan.. As we stand at the moment that was a natural reaction.
I was ashamed some fans booed a player who obviously wants or wanted to come if i was him i would walk way and the fans that booed would be the same fans saying where is our striker we were promised
Spot on Martin and sensible reaction. Graham deserved ever one of those reactions tonight after his comments on us? What should we do to players that slag us off? Thank him for it ffs? If he still comes after that then to be honest, I take my hat off to him and if he can overcome early antagonism from the crowd and win us over, he will deserve our support and admiration. That 'miss' tonight was so obvious it was slightly funny tbh.
That 'miss' and giving his shirt away said enough for me cest, think he is signing now like, 110% im sure it will turn around once he's in red & white
I admire your optimism cestria, I really do. If he signs it's the beginning of the end for me. I've been around long enough and observed so many aspects of life to be able to spot a fundamental mistake from 100 mile's away. Signing Danny Graham is one of those mistakes and if this is how the MON era is meant to be, then so be it. I sincerely doubt it will be successful and will more than likely to see SAFC return to yoyo status. Btw, I could put up with boo's and abuse for a couple of year on 35k per week.
