Well one thing ive learnt of watching QPR in both cup competitions is that i wont be going to QPRs league cup or FA cup games next season after Rochdale last season and the debacle of saturday. There was a time when we put out a full strength squad to win every game like most clubs. All this nonsense about resting stars for league matches is rubbish and has completely devalued one of the most prestigous cup competitions in the world. I think back to the great all conquering Liverpool and Forest sides of the 80s when the players rolled up their sleeves and played twice a week regularly and won competition after competition. No one ever moaned they were tired and the players were paid a pittance of todays wages.

Do you remember Cup Final Day when we were lads? I'd get up and be glued to the TV from 10am, watching all the build up, cameras on the team coaches etc, till the 3pm KO. Heaven!!

And the game was shown live on 2 out of the 3 tv channels! First time I saw colour TV was at my Dads cousins house for the Arsenal v Liverpool final, 1971.
