That 8-0 thrashing was the catalyst of Villa's downfall wasn't it? I don't think that they've ever recovered from that. It's often the case that when you beat a team convincingly at their ground when you meet them at your own ground you beat them by a bigger score. We beat Villa 0-4,if things go on like this we could have another thrashing.
I'm going to stick my neck out here and say that Arsenal side leaves Brighton with a good chance of a cupset. Kane's getting a start today, really hope the guy does well, it'd be great to see him getting some regular games in the Premier League.
Could've been 1-1, depends how you feel about phases I guess. Cross was put in aiming for two offside players who get nowhere near it and Snoozeny palms it to one of them anyway to tap in. Don't think you can really give it but it's another mistake from their keeper and as I'm writing Snoozeny makes another howler and it's 1-1

The Arsenal game was a cracking cup match right up until the end. Brighton were so close to bringing it back for a 3rd time but it was one time too many. You've got to question Arsenal's approach in the first half again, they were far too reserved, they didn't get closing down until the 40th minute which made it easy for Brighton to get the ball forward into midfield and into the box to cause problems. Considering Arsenal pretty much only have Vermaelen and Arteta out you've got to question their squad depth when resting a couple of players causes them so much problems.
If anyone is watching the Chelsea game, can they explain the following? Surely Turnbull had not alternative and it was all Terry's fault? David Pleat, BBC Radio 5 live sports extra at Griffin Park: "John Terry was very close to the goalkeeper. He has been out for a few games, did he forget the back-pass law? What an awful mistake from Ross Turnbull."
He tapped the ball to Turnbull who picked it up. He could've cleared it with a hoof but I'm not sure what Terry was trying to do, both at fault for me.
The ball was behind Turnbull and he was wrong footed. He either dives on it or it is a goal to Brentford. He is probably at fault for not telling Terry where he was but given that can't see he had any other option. Interesting to know whether he should have been booked or even sent off for the infringement?
