They're good signings to be fair. Well, four of them anyway. I'm not actually sure who Haidara is.

They're buying more Frogs to replace the inevitable departure of Cabaye and Ben Arfa at the end of the season.

Charlemagne, between 772 and 784, united the Gauls in what we know today as France. Son of Carloman II, a Teutonic king, from the principality of Scleissweg and last monarch of house of Froghliche, Charles was of German stock. By 771, the Gauls had become so far removed from their Teutonic roots that they no longer considered themselves Germanic. Realizing the jeopardy the Gaul's animosity to things german would place his throne in, he changed the family surname to Froggeaux in 789. Ever mindful of the insult upon them, the germanic fiefdoms never forgot Charlemagne's original family name, and began calling the Gauls Froggeaux, particularly during the heat of the many battles between the 2 nations over the ensuing centuries. Another confederation of germanic tribes, the Anglos, the Saxons and the Normans (progenators of today's British), picked up on the name and anglicized it, in Shakespeare's time (as evidenced by his use of the term in no fewer than three of his sonnets), to Frogge. It was a small step to today's Frog. .

    So there.

Thanks Chilco, I never knew that. No day is worth ending without a new piece in one's education.

Sky Bet have stopped taking bets on Coutinho joining Southampton. Not that it means much.

that usually reduces the odds, not closes them. They must have heard something from a very good source...

Yeah, normally pulls the odds right in Dan, but you would hope Sky Bet being "SKY" that they may know something and are stopping it now...

Yeah, but they haven't stopped taking bets on him joining Saints, they have suspended all betting on his next club. Could mean they think he is joining Liverpool, I'm still praying it's us as I want to see the meltdown amongst Liverpool fans!

Ahhhhh, many thanks. Wasn't told that. Go and type "Coutinho Southampton LFC" into the search bar on Twitter. Cracking.
