Its a shame Swansea tried to rely on pre-emptive cheating to win.

Ballboy totally in the wrong, let it go past him on purpose, and pounced on it because he knew Hazzard was going to get it. End of the day the ballboy wasn't doing his job properly, i know that they are likely to be Swansea fans, but to think that gives them the right to timewaste is rediculous.

Pundits in the video are totally right, dirty Swans

...a bit strong Wizard - I think they were relying instead on a rock-solid defence that star-studded Chelsea failed to score against in 180 minutes of football ... doubt the ball-boys were top of Laudrup's team talk ....

I'm with OLM on this one. <ok>

Kid shouldn't have done what he did, Hazard shouldn't have reacted that way...

If it was one of the Swansea players trying to keep the ball from Hazard like that, and Hazard kicked them in that way, he would have definitely be sent off.

If the kid was my son I would have given him a smack around the earhole for acting like a twat and not giving Hazard a good kicking - the kid is bigger then Hazard!

Even the Chelsea players knew Hazard was in the wrong, they went over to the ball boy, had it been the ball boys fault then they wouldnt have.

if swansea arent punished in some way wont that give home teams the impression that they can tell their ball boys/girls they can hold on to the ball when the opposition want it in order to run the clock down? if the opposition are then forceful in attempting to get it back they will then be sent off. sounds like a win/win whichever way you look at it

... Proud - that is pure conjecture on your part ... some of them might have gone over to the ball boy to have a further go at him for blatant time wasting ...

It's down to the ref EDN - if he'd gone over to the ball boy and said something like "for every minute you timewaste I'm putting 2 on the clock" then he'd soon cut it out .... (not that I'm suggesting he should actually add the 2 for one minute)...

.. whilst smiling and whispering sweetly "don't make such a meal of it you cheating little ****" - I do something similar with my kids when they kick-off in public - as I said, it is pure conjecture ...

We can hardly talk about cheating ball boys ie our multiball system that we took a slap on the wrist for a few years back , they are told to waste time if winning and hurry up if losing but to fall on the ball to stop a player getting the ball the lad is being a prick , son of a stakeholder in swansea 17 years old being a ball boy says it all.

I read on another thread that he might have been a 'late replacement' due to some of the regular lads not being able to get to the ground because of snow - hence they drafted in a director's son etc ...

Your point is a good one but the actions of one little twat (Hazard for losing it or the ball boy for his childishness) were not responsible for Swansea winning the tie - them scoring two goals whilst Chelsea couldn't score one is the only story that really matters here.

Honestly guys he kicks the ball. If i had 10 minutes to get 2 goals in the cup i would have done exactly the same thing. Not kicking the boy, but by doing all means possible to get it from under the ball boy. I personally dont see what hazard did wrong (i saw no contact).

maybe my views are tainted by the fact i was our rugby captain so constantly battling to rip the ball out of peoples hands for quick penalties but i am by far team hazard. If your a cvnt, then you cant expect not to be treated like a cvnt.

Perhaps it's time we had professional ball boys that can be held accountable just like the professional referees are.

    Oh, wait...

The ballboy was a prick, a massive ugly ****, if I was Hazard I would have done the same to get the ball of some cocky little chav, the excuse "he's a minor" is pathetic, he's 17, he has pictures of himself drinking with his mates, if he wants to be an adult, he'll get treated like one and accept the kick from Hazard as a wake-up call to real life as a man. FFS he was only toe poked by a 22 year old, 5 ft 7 Belgian!
