Pieking posted on another thread he felt Adkins may not go anywhere until the summer . I tend to agree . I am certain several clubs will come knocking on his door , so why not just chill for a while ?
For the sake of Saints, I hopenotas he would no doubt raise their game and put us under pressure From NA point of view, would be a great move to a bigger club than Saints and a real opportunity to turn them around.
He's just picked up a very pretty compensation package so he can certainly afford to take a few months off.
If Lambert is sacked then Adkins is the obvious choice. But I think that Lerner will stick with Lambert for a while yet.
He'll probably get the job in the summer of a Championship club who just miss out on promotion/the play-offs and sack their manager.
Nigel strikes me as the type that lives and breathes football, I can't see him taking a long sabbatical, he certainly deserves a decent crack at the Premier League...I still think that Hughton could be in trouble soon at Norwich, that's my tip for NA's next job either in the Premier League or the Championship next season.
I can definatly see Adkins at villa park. They are a massive club with some very good youngsters. Adkins may not keep them up but I think he would be the ideal man to get them promoted next season
