"Peterhead will be able to include Ryan McCann against Rangers after midfielder signed a new short-term deal with the club, but Blue Toon manager Jim McInally will be without defender Callum MacDonald and striker David Ross, who both have knee injuries. Strikers Rory McAllister and David Cox are in line to start after last weekend's goalless draw with Queen's Park.
McInally said: "We started off poorly against Queen's Park as we were standing back admiring their players.
"We cannot afford the same approach against Rangers or we will be severely punished.
"There is no pressure on us, so we'll go out and look to do as well as we did on the opening day of the season when we secured a 2-2 draw."
Rangers defender Ross Perry is a slight doubt due to an ankle knock, but should be fit for Sunday's Balmoor clash, while Ian Black returns from suspension.
Skipper Lee McCulloch remains sidelined with an ankle injury, while Darren Cole will have surgery later this month on an ankle problem which will end his season. " Ripped off some SFL website.
Weather permitting, we're right back to where we started off at the start of the season today. Our opening lineup that day consisted of Alexander, Broadfoot, Goian, Bocanegra, Little, Black, MacLeod, Wallace ,McCulloch ,Shiels and McKay. Wallace is now the only defender left at the club out of that starting line up. Has there been any more news about Goian coming back?
MacLeod has probably been one of our sucess stories this year. McCulloch has done just what it says on the box this season and probably been our outstanding player. Who's been your favourite player over the first half of the season? My choice would be Lee Wallace.
