I support Chelsea am 55 years old and I dont understand mackems hating the sky blues. Or Villa to be honest.
Newcastle for obvious reasons Coventry (Jimmy Hill, c*nt of the highest order) 3rd choice varies on decisions, luck, cheating etc at the time.
Coventry 2-2 Bristol City (First Division, May 19, 1977) Jimmy was chairman of Coventry in 1976-77 when three teams went into the last day of the campaign facing relegation – Sunderland, Bristol City and the Sky Blues. Hill had the kick-off at the Coventry-Bristol City game delayed for 15 minutes due to 'crowd congestion' and when news came through that Sunderland had lost to Everton, he ensured the result was announced over the PA. It sent the message to both teams they would stay up at Sunderland's expense, if neither scored again. What followed was a passage of keep-ball in which neither side attempted to win and the score conveniently remained the same.
Then by all means hate Jimmy Hill, but not the club that is Coventry City. The people in charge at the time have long gone, Hill was a **** of the highest order, believe me I remember him well, some of the stunts "bacon face"pulls, pale into insignificance compared to that gimp.
Bacon fyass? The general consesus is that safc are fans of fans (christ we know it?) jimmy hill can burn in hell! Lawrie took us from bank of england to laughing stock! Put the whole club on the transfer list the mag twat! ****ing hate them both! Is thatcher dead yet?
Sorry bit Coventry fans went along with it and have taunted us many times since over it. I despise that club immensely and always will as long as they are in the professional game. Once they are bankrupt and out of the leagues I will lay this to rest.
My dad brought me up this way, i'm gonna get the old scroat on here! Watch out for grandpops! I'm ringing him now
Carry on hating away, but you have to be some sort of a lunatic to let this boil under your skin for so long, jeez I was only 20 years old when it happened and am now on the wrong side of fifty. I have found the Sunderland board to be more reasoned than most of the other one's that I have come across, so it was a surprise to find such vitriol albeit justified against Coventry City, or more to the point Jimmy Hill. Thanks for the info and good luck for the rest of the season. (Bacon face is Slur Alex by the way).
Newcastle Newcastle Reserves Newcastle U18's Do they have a women's team? Cos I will hate them slags as well
Mags goes with out saying. Hibs ****ing **** of fans attacking families with kids. Chelski/Citeh for the same reason ruining the ****ing game, manure at least bring players through.
Since I'm a youngster (relatively) over the past few seasons... Liverpool- Suarez and Dalgleish racism saga and their fans thinking they should be challenging for the title when they're actually no where near. Villa - Bent saga and their fans thinking they're a massive club QPR - for no other reason that they are buying their way out of relegation and I have a distinct hatred for Saggy Chops
Jimmy Hill was still winding us up at Fulham a couple of years ago mate. Had to be led away for pissing off the fans. It's two sided.
Leeds - lived there when they won the league and they were insufferable, still work there and they have been strangely quiet for years Coventry - we all know why Bristol City - for their part
I often find that visiting fans from other clubs offer interesting insights into club life outside my own, amusing anecdotes from a lifetime of following the game and intellectual input that enlightens and tutors with equal weight. Then there are others that just come on and annoy and irritate the **** out of me. I'll let you decide which one I think you come under?
