I almost feel as if I'm betraying Nigel by watching this press conference with Pochettino. I don't think I've been effected by football as much as I am today.
Everyone being negative needs to print this comment off, take it to bed with them, and wake up on Saturday refreshed.

I would like to sing one nigel adkins for the full 90, to get the message across and the move on. You obviously don't like your own manager then. Adkins is a gentleman, positive (never whinging or blaming others), intelligent and got his side playing attractive football. In fact the complete opposite to Big Sam.
We must keep behind the team. I have followed Southampton FC for 40 odd years and Nigel Adkins for 2.5 years.

As an ipswich fan I'd like to say how wrong I think it is that Adkins has gone. For what he's done for you and how he's done this season. I fancy you would've stayed up with him in charge,now with this disruption will it throw a spanner in the works.
You couldn't care less if we were relegated? I really don't think I need to say more than that. You're allowed to be angry that's fine but being relegated would be disastrous for the club and you'd be a fool not to fear it. Furthermore I'm pretty sure you weren't watching his Espanyol team this season so theres no way you can instantly assume that Lambert will leave and not be used in this guys style. I presume the assumption is that he'll play a passing game and because of that need a more mobile centre forward, but the thing is we played a passing game under Nigel and Lambert coped just fine. Not to mention that coming in and dropping our leading goalscorer would be suicidal fans went mental when Nigel did it so god knows what they'll do if this new fella does it. I understand you're angry and upset but give yourself some thinking time and more importantly give the manager some time. I'd suggest going to Wigan and supporting the boys as it is neither the team or Mauricio who sacked Adkins.
i really dont think I am for once I was as happy as can be as a saints fan love everything about adkins. From what you have said ThatThereSaintsFan I hope you dont moan about anything for the rest of the season. this guy cant speak English. was sacked after being bottom of La Liga. I honestly can say I wouldnt care if we got relegated. I wont Boo any players or any manager no matter how bad the situation because it is so demoralising. but out of respect for adkins I would be happy to chant his name for the full 90.
