Now this is out of order IMO. They aren't in a bad position compared to where we'd expect them to be. Just got a draw away at Chelsea...

Just beat me to it!

Horrible decision for me. If he can be sacked after their first half of the season then how lucky must Pardew think he is??

After getting them promoted twice and just coming of the back of a great fight back against chelsea.
Feel for there fans I liked him he was level headed
And a good young English manager

Great news for us as they will go down for sure now

Please don't gloat over another clubs problems (unless it's 5under1and) as that for me when you consider our current predicament, is just tempting fate a tad too much.
Comments like your last sentence tend to come back and bite you on the arse, not having a go at you, just feeling that old, if it could go wrong , it will go wrong for Newcastle sort of feeling.
Would hate to be reading headlines at the end of the season along the lines of, Southampton safe by a whisker, not so for poor NUFC.

This is pathetic and ridiculous. Just shows the complete lack of comprehension the owners of these football clubs have. Makes me laugh - where do these idiots get the money from in the first place? Hardly Darwinian in my opinion.

**OT RANT ALERT**

Was like watching the news to see HMV collapse - bet the board will be really upset with their mansions, porsche's, enormous pay-offs and - no doubt - forthcoming executive role somewhere else. Yet every time I went into HMV all I ever thought was "hmm, can buy every, single thing here cheaper on Amazon." Would they reduce prices? Nope, best just to let 2000 people lose their jobs.

your not, surely not, can't be :bandit:

the same person

Bit of a moot point, but if you want to hear about someone being sacked, the BBC is the place. There's no rumour, no conjecture, just BAM such-and-such has bitten the dust. If only NUFC transfers worked like this....

Absolute shame, new manager already appointed, this must have been decided some time back. :emoticon-0120-doh:

No we are not, really truthfully, just some sort of technical problem.

Gloating ???? I feel for them as it is a shocking decision and I have never minded Southampton bar Matt lett-tissier who ruined many a weekend with his wonder goals

I think its a wrong decision in football terms which could benefit us
And regarding US I totally expect us to go down which I stated back in November

He just joins a long list of surprise axings in the English games. Nature of having all these rich business boys in charge. Shocking decision for me but I'm not entirely surprised given the nature of our game. That said I didn't see it coming. Hopefully Adkins can rebuild away somewhere else like Hughton did.

Adkins was given a very large pot of money to spend in the transfer window, +£30 million, so aligned with that, to me it's not surprising that the board is going in another direction. They'll see themselves as ambitious, and see teams who have spent a lot less further up the table.

Feel for him, he was under intense pressure very early on in the campaign.

Chelsea? <whistle>

Seriously, he's now favourite for the Blackpool position! <ok>
