How many English clubs are in masses of debt/been in admin/went into admin chasing the EPL "dream" ...

It's crazy.. they only way I could see Rangers or Celtic in England is if they were invited to start in the Championship.

It's very worrying Pud - you only have to look at the number of teams that were in the Premiership at one stage and then ended up in administration. English football really could implode at some point - maybe Big Josep knew......

Rangers probably don't have anything to lose by going to the conference and playing their way up because, if we are very presumptious and say they go straight through the divisions in both cases, it's going to take almost that long for them to get back into the SPL anyway. It's a different consideration for Celtic because they'd have to give up on any thoughts of Champions League footie for a minimum of 4 seasons and that's just to get into the Premiership. I think both clubs would be ok financially in the EPL because you'd get sponsors falling over themselves because of the massive fanbases and they'd both be attractive propositions for foreign buyers.

Yes, it's all very presumptuous to take for granted that Rangers could just move up the divisions unabated. Big clubs in England have languished in tier's 3 & 4 and struggled to get back into the top flight. Rangers would need a great manager, a great infrastructure and a slice of luck for the club to get to the EPL.

If you speak to one of your friends who can read they will explain to you that the thread is about rangers joining the conference. That's in England and therefore if they do there's a chance they'll be playing in the Championship in the enxt couple of years. As a supporter of a Championship side this could have implications for my team. In actual fact, if we're going to carry on your line of argument, supporters of Watford and the like have more right to comment on this issue than Celtic fans as it potentially has more implications for us than for you.

POW!! And by TKO, we have a winner! Take a bow Dan.

Have a day off from being the laughing stock of the Tic forum (Hoopy aside).

Dan starkly what takes you on to the threads of a Scottish club . D o you not
realise that fans of Scottish clubs can discuss , debate and pour scorn on each
other without the help of a lonely Dan who as a fan of Watford could not be
expected to know anything about football or fan rivalry, after all no fan would
Ever regard Watford as rivals.

Dev Chapmeister and his friends can only read the Huns bile. They cannot understand
Anything that isn't nasty, insulting and wrong.

What a clown you are! Dev openly slaughters you and you're still trying to hang out of his arse, dan starky probably hasn't even interacted with you in such a way and yet it's him who you are telling to go away? Why? Just because he doesn't share the same view (or "cause") as you?

Take your own advice and do one, why are you here? (That goes for all the Celtic "fans")

I would agree with Edge in that it is pretty presumptious of us to think we would advance rapidly to the EPL. The clubs would be okay financially Dan, but I think we would lose our identity on the way up. If we got to the EPL we would end up having to spend wads to compete and our team would no doubt be full of foreign players. I like the direction we are currently taking by giving the youngsters a chance. They would get a chance on the way up the leagues, but no doubt be sacrificed when we reached the big league. Mind you who's to say that won't happen when we are back in the SPL or whatever they will decide to call it.

I wouldn’t want us to move for moral reasons too. Personally I find the amount of money involved in the English leagues to be obscene. Obviously that’s a personal thing, but when clubs get parachute payments for being relegated that dwarf the economic debts of several third world countries it makes you wonder. Obviously I am speaking from my right on internet persona’s perspective. In reality I would actually fire over to the aforementioned countries in an inebriated stupor and ask them all to take my “go”.

The only consolation I would take out of joining the English league would be watching to see Hoopy try and spell Merthyr Tydfil if we drew them in the FA cup.

Dan, Sevco have no interest in playing or even applying for playing in England at any
Level. What Sevco is trying to do is bully and pressurise the SFL and SPL into allowing
Charlie and the boys fast track into the SPL. Playing in England is a complete non runner
for Sevco in the near future. Basically to be a member of any league in England means
you must play your home games in that Country. Unlike most here Dan I hope you have
Normal intelligence. You would understand that Sevco fans would not and could not
Follow and support a team playing exclusively in England. Would any police force in
England allow them after Manchester 2008.

What's a sevco?

I thought that other team from 2008 doesn't exist? What's it got to do with any teams looking to play in England?

******.

On the contrary, mentioning something means you are beeling according to Medro, not me, I have said it's a preposterous argument so maybe you should argue with him, you are intellectual equals after all.

Take that any way you want.
