Im not saying it cant be done and i accept that the interest it may generate may lead to increased sponsorship and investment, but it would cost quite a bit to guarantee automatic promotion year on year IMO. Youths and seasoned pros may not guarantee you get from the conference to the championship. Not many teams in the past have done that. Its a good plan - but its not a guarantee of automatic promotion year on year. If you found yourselves stuck in the conference or a lowere league lets say for 2 or 3 years it may be a blow you'd never come back from. No Euro football or money for many years also

Its not impossible - im just saying to get to that massive pot of gold at the end of the rainbow it will take a lot of time and money. Easily £100m+ i reckon. And if its not guaranteed to work out that you start in the conference and end up in the EPL in 5 years will anyone put up the money?

All im saying is do rangers have someone (or people) who would be prepared to see it out for those 5 years or more to make the money it could lead to

Im not sure Celtic would be able to - and the people in control of Cetlic (Desmond et al) actually have the cash there to spend (and potentially lose) if they were deadly serious. I also have no doubts Desmond sees the millions (or billions) celtic could make in England - i believe he is perfectly poised toassume full control of Celtic where it to happen (not for the love of Celtic by the way but for the personal gain it could make him)

If it worked it would be worth the £100m+ investment as Celtic or Rangers in the EPL could easily look at making £100m+ a season if not a lot more. Its just risky IMO

In theory i get it. In reality i feel it could ruin you (or us)

There must be 20 or so English teams who, in the last 20 years have been in the top tier at some point and very nearly gone bust. There's a shedload more who were enever in the top flight. It is an exceptionally risky business and I must admit i don't think I'd want my club to chance it if i was in ther situation of Celtic and, to a lesser extent Gers on the basis they may feel they have less to lose right now.

Rangers and Celtic both want to win trophies and play in the champions league. That wont happen if they go to England. Simple as that.

It is lucky that Ibrox is now worth approximately £80m as Charlie will have to have use of
A stadium in England . It is going to cost one hell of a lot of money to cover the 5/6 years
Sevco will spend in the nether leagues of England. Is there any guarantee that Sevco fans
will travel to wherever Sevco have as there home in England. This whole idea looks to far
Fetch even for Charlie to try.

He's great isn't he? Just a stream of bitter, bigoted, vitriolic and totally deluded consciousness. You can see the veins popping out of his head as he types. I go 7/4 he spontaneously combusts before the end of the season. I'll guive you 6/4 on the same thing hap[ening to mind the Step <ok>
