If we get him then we have got a very highly rated centre back at what looks like a very good price. If not, and he goes to Liverpool, I can definitely see us making a move for Coates who is available for loan, could probably come straight away and would be an excellent signing until the end of the season I think. Would put is in a strong position when negotiating for another centre back as well.
