Did anyone else see it kicking off last night? I was in E1 and it started off with a few Wednesday fans getting oyed out at kick off. Riot police came in and it somehow spread to E1 and seats got ripped out behind us. Both sets of fans were a disgrace!!
Wendesday used to have a very impressive following but yesterday it was pathetic for their first season back in the Championship - and as for schoolboys who were bouncing about and got chucked out before the match even started, they wouldn't have looked out of place at a gay convention - hilarious - thats the problem with over policing as it allows little boys to puff out their junior chests in the knowledge that they are safe
It was poor stewarding and bullying police. Lack of training/skills for the stewards, and showboating/lack of professionalism from Humberside police. Move along there, nothing to see.
I agree with this and the one about it allowing little lads to puff their chests out. Unfortunately plod will use their incompetence to justify their **** tactics at future games. They'll highlight the outcome without discusion on their contribution to the cause.
One of their fans - wearing a light jacket was grabbed but escaped - watching him trying to lose himself (successfully) in the crowd was great fun
I enjoyed that. He stood out like a spot on a domino but despite state of the art CCTV and trained observers all over the ground linked with communication tools, he stood there in plain sight. There was one point when he was walking down the stand like Moses through the reed sea while all the Orange coats were preparing a concerted effort to find him at the top oblivious to what was obvious to us mere mortals. He highlighted just how hopeless the policing is in the stadium.
Really pissed me off yesterday. You stand up for too long and a steward is straight over. In west lower there were 50 Wednesday fans in front. Of me. Ok a lot were old gits. But 3 or 4 of the young blokeswere escorted out after goading us lot. Some were wearing colours. Why the **** didn't the stewards just escort them across to the north as the match started. No other club would stand for that. I had. A go at a few of the stewards on the way out, just met with vacant Grins
Yeuch, West Ham are blowing greek blokes and you lot are after rimming us. The sooner you catch us up, the better all round really.
I always wondered how easy it is to do this, because the seats seem to be pretty heavily fastened to the bracket. Are they made of playdoh in the East Stand?
Allsorts was going on in the Wednesday fans section even before the game had started. Dont understand why the stewards are so determined to kick City fans out, but leave opposition fans alone that have done much worse. Saw one Sheff W fan pushing n swinging at a group of stewards, who just decided to resort to telling him to calm down n let him stay where he was. A bloke in E1 was trying not to be dragged out, by walking back to his seat. As he escaped their grip, he walked back to his seat and stood n watched the game, nothing else... 2/3 mins later about 6 policemen came in to grab him. Must be quite strong, he just held onto the railing while all 6 pulled on him. He let go and they all clattered into each other down the stairs like dominoes, was quite comical to watch. It all seemed to kick off in E1/2 because a group of riot police decided to confront one of the ulltras for what appeared to be no reason at all.
Agro nowadays ?? It's doesn't exist really.. Late 60's early to mid 70's maybe at Boothferry park , and all the way back to the train station and around the city centre especially against the scummy owls . The KC is about the safest place to be in Hull on match days.. The 80's ??? Bunch of fairys in the 80's
