We welcome back our winger Jermaine. If the reason he was sent out to Wolves was that he would intake some discipline into his lifestyle , and if he has achieved that aim , then good for him and good for us. While he was there he would hopefully come to realise that working at Stoke City F.C. was a "cushier number" ( all mod cons ) than being at a good many other places. Lets hope that he will now knuckle down and concentrate on being a good club man. He certainly has the talent to do well for us/himself. I know it is not easy to get on with everybody , and TP seems to be one of the worst for this , but although TP is not always right , "hardly ever" , I can hear Nick say , nevertheless he is always the boss , and so a player has to do it TP's way or he is out. So my advice to Jermaine is , work hard , keep your nose clean , and "touch your cap" to Pulis if necessary , and give us Stokies the pleasure of seeing again the skills you have been blessed with.
Agree a 1005 that there is no excuse for poor discipline from a player, but it must be frustrating under TP.
K - I agree with 99% of yout excellent post. No prizes for the other 1% - just delete 'hardly' Not a fan, never have been, never will be - irrespective...
Kick a bow Great post this.. I still think (if he puts his mind to it) Pennant could be a massive player for us.. so many occasions the last few weeks, Cameron/Shotton had great positions out wide. But failed to deliver a good cross.. just saying TP
Every Sunday me and the family go to the Victoria pub in Wolstanton for their excellent carvery. Sunday just gone we were sitting in there when who walks in with his missus? Jermaine. He sat at the next table to us and I couldn't quite believe it to be honest. I thought I won't hassle him as he obviously wants a bit of real time, so I waited till they had finished. I asked him if he was back here to stay and he just shrugged and said he didn't know. I told him how most of the Stoke faithful had missed his presence on the pitch and hoped that he was back for good. Seemed to put a smile on his face. His missus is a local girl so maybe that's why he wanted just a casual meal in a local pub!
I thought for the couple of games that Matty and Kightly played that it was a positive sign for Penannt, but we've been back to a more negative set up for the last couple, so I don't know. For me Pennant and Kightly should be starting games, and the competition could help Matty get back to his best.
Waddo, You jammy begger, I meet Ryan you get to talk to Pennant. Really hope he's stays though. And I also agree we should play two wingers home and away.
Is Pennant back with us now, it's just that i can't remember reading anything about it except on here?
Jowler I know he WAS training with the rest of the squad the other day. Called in on an Aunt who lives in Keelings Drive, Trent Vale and nipped to the training ground on the way home. See it on the thread where some idiot told us.. Ryan was injured. So? I guess it depends on TP from now on in Jowler. IF he's not in the squad on Saturday IMO it means one thing. He's going before the end of Jan.
I can't see him playing for us again to be honest Potts. Walters has started 74 straight prem games and he isn't going to drop Adam so that will only leave the left wing which he has played a combination of Ethrington, Kightly and Jerome in. We are not picking the best team and we are not playing the right formation.
Smithers The right formation true enough but we're talking about the stubborn one! Nay, the special stubborn one.
