Good news, good signing even if it is only for a month. Great player expected to be an England regular, and just signed new contract at Everton.

Thoughts?
 
Everton want to add a recall clause into the loan which they cant do until after January so likely to extend to end of season in Feb and add a recall clause
 
Has Colin been playing Football Manager? Barkley is one of the best young players on there!

Good, encouraging signing. Hopefully he'll sign up for the rest of season and bring some much needed creativity to the midfield.

Funnily enough he was on the letter I sent to Warnock :)

Along with Chris Taylor, David Perkins and Alex Nimely
 
A player with some class in central midfield. Let's just hope that the defence and Warnock learn how to get the ball passed on the ground to him so he can do his stuff.

Credit due to GFH and that dick Shaun Harvey for getting a decent first new player in.
 
No way is there going to be a view to a permanent deal. Everton know they have a real prospect on their hands if he left permanently he'd go to Chelsea/Scum etc for big, big money. We'll enjoy him while we can, but no chance of permanent transfer.
 
Definitely no chance. Good loan signing though. But is it a month because we have someone else lined up that Warnock knows he can't get hold of until the end of January, or is it so he can sort out having him until the end of the season.

By the way, how many central midfielders do we have? We need wingers!
