The goaltender who was keeping an impressive shut out record was way out and with the Timbers losing one to zip, their MVP Boyd could have easily finished it off but punted high and wide as we approached the end of the 2nd period.

For what it's worth as a non-bear, I don't see any value in bringing back 30-odd year olds (like Miller) in your current position. Waste of cash when you could be giving the young guys experience.

You can't have Boyd back , things are different now. Your lot will be in the lower
Leagues for four or five seasons. The stadiums are not up to the elite class that we
Are playing in Europe and the SPL. Problem in the wee dressing rooms your lot
have to use. Too small for big Ally and Boyd.

When you read it in the voice of John Betjeman, it's quite poetic.

Miller would be a really good influence on the younger guys in areas such as fitness and professionalism. Even if he has lost a bit of his pace he would be fine in leagues two and one. He would easily afford to play on a smaller salary and I think he probably would. Conversely Boyd might be the harbinger of Golden Wonder and Walkers to the dressing room, but he does score goals. I don't see Coisty entertaining him though.

Smith's a funny one. I remember him as a youngster and initially he looked a smashing prospect. It was around the time Hutton started to improve too. I can remember saying to my mates that these two could do a job for us for years to come. I thought Smith looked the better of the two. Then he started getting all the injuries. I can't remember what they were now. He never quite seemed to the same player and Papac came in and pretty much made the left back position his own. He's been a bit of a journeyman since then and would he get much of a chance on the left? It's our strongest area now in my opinion. He would provide a bit of cover though and may have a lot more to prove than the other two.

I would say Miller and Smith yes, but no to Boyd.

Ease off Medro, he is in bad form he and wee willy F had planned to take over Dublin
On Saturday with their flags but had to postpone it as they could not raise the money
For a loan of some pick ups to take them there.
Wee Willy is broke all the money had to go back.

I'm pretty sure we covered this before, I had no intentions of travelling to Dooblin this weekend.

No i'm saying Medro is your SuperHooper. Mind Numbingly boring and about as funny as a kick in the Haw Maws with a diver's boot.

The difference being SH is a Wum, Medro merely likes to pretend he is one.

Yet you continue to park your arse here everyday and comment on nearly all of my articles.
