    Kieron leaves Loftus Road

KIERON DYER has left QPR after the club opted to activate a release clause within his contract.

R's boss Harry Redknapp has decided Dyer, who has made just four starts and four substitute appearances in all competitions for the R's since joining the club in July 2011, is surplus to requirements at Loftus Road and the midfielder has left with immediate effect.

Dyer scored his first QPR goal in our 1-1 draw against West Bromwich Albion in the FA Cup third round on Saturday.

What is going on thoght he looked good on saturday????

    Where did that come from?
Start of the clear out for the new blood to come in.

only thing i can think of is that Luke Young is fit and rednapp prefers him over dyer.

I wish the guy well. Start of Harry's clear out. Young and hungry coming in hopefully. Harry has to build a team in difficult circumstances over Jan that gives us a chance in the Prem, yet will compete well in the Championship. He may earn his money

So Dyer and Nelson who next? Arry must have a few coming in.

I read SWP was being offered as part of the deal for Remy, so he may be on his way.

If all our players were fit he would have got in my first 11. As ability wise not many better and a good experienced pro

United away he showed how good he is and against West Brom he did well. I suppose Arry can’t justify a space in the 25 for someone as injury prone as him. Can’t imagine he was on big wages though.

Also suggests other signings are closer to completion than we might think.

ok, so the new policy is "score and you're out from the club"? Confusing... :emoticon-0112-wonde

Making way for Andy Smith and the return of Luke Young I presume. On the surface it seems quite bizarre, but we have to trust in Harry that he knows what his doing. Clearing out the deadwood for the future, wherever that will be.

Looks like we're finally moving in the right direction. Difficult balancing act for Harry, getting a squad that can compete to fight against relegation and at the same time putting together a team that will take us up again if we go down, WITHOUT spending silly money doing so.

Don't really understand this. Maybe his wages were too high to justify keeping him on, given that another long term injury was inevitable. On top of that it also gives Harry the chance to bring in another midfielder without getting completely slated on here. I think Dyer did well for us when he played though and you've got to feel sorry for him, cos if it wasn't for his legs utter inability to be legs most of the time, there's no way he'd be looking for a club right now. I bet Harry's wishing someone else had of scored on Saturday now!

I was hoping we would strengthen the squad before the spuds game, not weaken it. So much for momentum.

    Harry Redknapp:
"If he can stay clear of injuries I'm sure there's clubs out there that will offer him the chance to play football.

"He wasn't in my plans and I think he's got something to offer someone, so we wish him all the best."

    That should explain it. Simples.

Good player but far too unreliable injury wise. You would have to put a like for like player on the bench just in case.
