Don't take my word for it, both Modric and Song were voted La Liga's worst players.

As many as Dembele whilst being twice as good and five years younger. Even then I'm not sure I'd put Wilshere in the top 100 players in the world. He needs more time to prove himself in big games. As for Dembele, you'd have to be delusional to put him in a top 100.

No they weren't, they were voted worst signings. They were voted for by Marca readers, it's equivalent to having a poll on Sky Sports, inevitably United and Liverpool fans will vote more than anyone else which skews the voting. Barca and Real fans basically used it as a stick to beat eachother with.

Who said they would put Dembele in a top 100 for you to keep going on about? If someone thinks they can rank 100 players in order of abillity chances are you won't get a sensible football converstion out of them anyway.
 
So what part of 'worst signing in La Liga' makes you think Modric is one of Real's better players ?

You dont get time to settle in to Madrid. You are either good enough or not good enough. Modric is not good enough.

Charge fans less then. Don't charge champagne prices for lemonade football. If people are paying in excess of £60 per ticket they're entitled to expect the end product, if they're paying a fiver and seeing the reserves which comprises of young players like Arsenal do then people will understand.

He gets gametime. I never said he was one of their best, just that it must be reassuring that you have so many players who are good enough to get into the Real Madrid team.

Along with VDV, Sneijder, Eto'o and Robben. Not a bad group to be in.
 
He is far too similar to Jack. We need a more powerful player in our midfield to give us something different. The problem little Luka is having at Madrid is that he Jose is using him in that number 10 position and that's not where Modric played for Spurs, so it's hardly shock that he is struggling to adjust to a new position, league and country.

It was the Guardians top 100 players I think. It had Dembele in there. We discussed it, and some Spuds arrived insisting Dembele should definitely be in the top 100. Sorry you missed that.
 
Modric is an excellent player dont get me wrong. Only in an AM position he is less effective than Carzorla

As a creative CM he is better but we have Wilshere,Diaby,Rosicky and Arteta for this position.


Spending £20 Million + on Modric would be a waiste. We some physicality (M'Vila, Sissoko?) in the DM position as well as some genuine sharpness up front.
