Yeah, think so I'd just never noticed how little they kicked through the ball. I do like it though, it works a lot better for him than the way he used to hit them.

I've just watched it again, just incase my obs on the wall made me miss something, but no, every kick from Bale there is inside if his foot, he doesn't get over the ball straight on with his instep once, even the first one is side foot, its a different angle to the rest, but its a side footer imo.

Before this goes the way it usually does! I'm not saying its the only way CR7 takes his kicks, of course he uses the inside foot, but for me his trademark is that straight run up, thats how he gets the 'dip', not sure you can get it to dip with the inside of your foot...can you??
