So we are two days into the transfer window and already we have seen a couple of moves including Chelsea

Daniel Sturridge, highly talented but frustrating all the same, has gone to Liverppool for 12m pounds

And its a medical away from confirming that Demba Ba has joined Chelsea from Newcastle United for a fee of 7.5m

Shrewd business you would say

But to me we are still lacking one more bit of firepower

I dont think we can continue to compete with only two strikers when you see that our rivals United and City have four strikers each than can put the ball in the back of the net

But with Torres and Ba we have two strikers who are viewed as decent, Torres isnt the player he was and Ba has yet to be proven for our club, although hopefully it wont take long.

I think that we need to sign one more striker, but he needs to have certain attributes

Power, technical ability, able to hold the ball up, can frighten defenders and most importantly a clinical finisher

You would think all this applies to one Radamel Falcao, and we all would love to have him in a blue shirt as soon as possible, but it isnt possible right now. So who else is there that can be a good signing for the club and give us the goals that will bring us back to the top

Some will say that we have too many attackers, but when lat years January window opened we had Didier Drogba, Nicolas Anelka, Daniel Sturridge, Salomon Kalou and Fernando Torres on our books, right now we have just Torres

My personal pick would be trying to hijack Juventus bid for Fernando Llorente

The guy is 27, has quick feet, can finish and holds up the ball well. And he is out of contract in the summer, we could possibly get him for around 10m considering the standoff he has had with Bilbao this season.

Higuain will be great buy he has a good goal scoring record for Real Madrid. Last season 2011-12 he scored 22 goals in la liga and in 2009-10 season he scored 27 goals in la liga. This season he has scored 7 goals in 10 appearances. Only 25 years old as well. Buy one more striker Higuain in January and get Falcao in the summer. That would be our four recognized strikers, Falcao, Ba, Higuain and Torres.

You can't count AC, that's only three.

tbf, City and United both play with 2 strikers on the field at a time so they will need double what we do. I would promote Feruz before we force another up and coming youngster with bags of potential to **** off.

This !!!!!!

Why hasnt he had a look in, guy is extremely talented and Scotland are lucky to have him on their books in the future

Feruz can't play senior until he's 19 cos of some silly rules I believe (or at least, I've been told)

Just heard from an Italian friend (who is about as well connected as it gets) that Pato is most likely leaving AC Milan this January...thought I'd put that here.

Pato seems like another good player with too much attitude. Might as well get Ballotelli ,he's the master of grief.
