It's the full name! Although "pants" has slipped In as a nickname every now and then whether that's better who knows?

I don't blame you for naming it that though! Those books are amazing! The 3rd one is probably one of my favourite books of all time.

Juve are set to sign Peluso from Atalanta, which should probably mean that they will not be pursuing Astori.

The film didn't do the series any justice! Back on topic however Simon peach (interviews Adkins all
The time) says that Nigel said "I'm aware of him and know he's a good centre half" when asked about astori

That's as close as you'll get to Nigel saying we're taking an interest then.

Reading have signed Daniel Carrico from Sporting Lisbon. Not confirmed by Reading yet, but Sporting have an official statement out on their website. Good player, extremely highly-rated a few years back alongside Miguel Veloso and Joao Moutinho. €750k seems a bargain, though Sporting have been abysmal for the past 18 months.

Bugger it, they haven't have they? Good player and a big bargain. Hopefully Sporting's **** form will come with him to Reading.

Reading aren't completely out of it, but like QPR they really need to do something good in the transfer window. Unfortunately I think McDermott has settled for a point in too many games where he could have had three.

Good player, but he's not good enough to keep Reading up on his own.

Agreed. Unless they find someone who can score a shedload of goals, they don't have much hope...they've been held without a goal in five of their last six, only scoring against Arsenal (who were up four by that point).

To be honest I think Pogrebnyak was a very poor buy for them. He had a very short purple patch at Fulham but prior to that he was very very average for Stuttgart. Roberts is well past it, Le Fondre looks a bit out of his depth and Noel Hunt is definitely out of his depth. I'm almost certain they will go down alongside QPR as they need improvement in literally every area of the pitch.

In Saints transfer news, Simon Peach said that in Nige's press conference he acknowledged Astori as a 'very good centre-half' and also confirmed that we were in for Butland in the summer.
