Credit where it's due I was critical of the team selection before the game but its panned out and we won the game. The shape of the team impressed me, when Cech went off I was genuinely convinced we'd lose. We've had a lot of bad times at Goodison and were fortunate as they hit the woodwork on numerous occasions but you always need that bit of luck when you come to a fortress like Goodison.

Home game against QPR which we should win and that would put us in good stead for top 4.

I was shocked to see Rami on the wing again, but in the end, the result was the right one for us. <ok>

QPR at home will be a great game. I reckon they'll be up for it.

Everton would definitely have caused us serious problems with Fellaini. With Turnbull in goal it could have been a disaster. Jelavic's profligacy in front of goal cost Everton the game, he's been quite poor this season tbh

Top 4 District!! Come on you guys should be capable of getting the runners-up spot! Pity you had the autumnal wobble otherwise you could have given United a run for their money. It might still happen if they have a wobble!! All you can do is win your games and going to Everton and getting a win there is no mean achievement.

PS Please stuff QPR on New Year´s Day! I bet many of you are looking forward to the trip to St Mary´s on the 5th. I won´t be there as I am sunning myself in Majorca but it should be a terrific atmosphere. There are many youngsters in the Solent area who have an affiliation to Chelsea. Many of them are going to be sitting amongst the home fans. Let's hope there is no nastiness between the rival elements. There shouldn´t be as neither club bears any animosity against the other.

When Rafa gave Mikel much needed break (and for Chelsea also) that did it for me..
    Playing Luiz at CM
Giving Moses fair share over Hazard / Oscar are some of the gutsy calls!!

So many are giving no credit to Rafa for Luiz switch - many were saying he had no choice because of injuries and Mikel's 3 match ban..

I wouldn't accept!! He has four players for those two spots - Ramires, Mikel, Lamps, Oscar

Which is good enough for any rotation and Luiz was not needed..

Rafa knows tactics better than any Liverpool Chelsea United Arsenal or Spurs fan :) He put out a team to get a result. He got it. Tactics spot on.

If Feliaini had been in, Rafa might have done different and still got a win so who knows, stealth troll comment.

This was always going to be a tough game with or without Felliani! A draw would have been OK , but Frank made the difference! Our board must see the sense of giving him 2 more years!

Fair play to Everton they deserved a point today, but we did not do ourselves any favours. Too many passes went astray and we gave the ball away in midfield too often, albeit because Everton pressed us and put pressure on the ball in all areas of the pitch, Moyes knows how to approach games against us and we did not move the ball well enough to defeat his tactics. I have seen us play better than that and loose, but glad we got the three points, it was the type of game that can define our season and we got through it. Onwards and upwards methinks, Kew Pee Arse up next we gotta win that one, and I think we will. I'd even take a 1-0 win with an own goal to boot.

Okeydokey--I'll go with that! Nice to have Queens Park Queens served up on a plate for our New Years party! I hope we give them the appropriate goodbye kiss on their way to the championship!

Not written of, just going down. God they were poor today watched the whole game on sky. It was like watching a championship league side battling in the cup against another championship side who were slightly better than them.
